Product Description

**Deleted Scenes and all new material added for new adventures in the Becoming Elena Series.**

Every master was once a student – every woman was once a child …

Everyone calls me a monster. They believe I'm a villain. But I think it's time I share my story. I was once innocent. I had no choice in what was about to happen to me. I had no choice in where my life was going ... Maybe you will understand when you read my story.

What makes a person forget their entire identity? What makes them become someone else? What makes them desire pain … control … and ultimately pleasure? It’s not anything that happens overnight, over even in a few weeks. Tragedy beyond what a human can possibly imagine will forever alter Mary’s future.

Mary’s life is boring, conservative and typical. She wants adventure, thrills and so much more. But she will soon learn to be careful what to wish for when she’s taken against her will and thrust into the twisted world of a powerful man who doesn’t care if she lives or dies.

When Mary starts becoming Elena, she does find a savior, but is he truly the person who will protect her, or will he be the one to escort her straight into the pits of hell?

Forgetting who she is or where she belongs, she learns she can trust no one, rely on only herself, and fall further than she ever thought possible. She will become someone else and the cycle will begin. She will become the person who will eventually change the life of so many others. Some might say the change is good, the violence is necessary. And some will cry for this tragedy that should have been stopped.

Just when you think you know how it all came about, how it will end, you will be floored again by who can be trusted … and who can’t.

Note from the author:

This book isn’t anything like what I’ve written before. I had a dream, the opening scene of this book, actually. And I woke up and lay there for a while, and still couldn’t push it away, so I got up, wrote the first chapter. Then I lay back down and was back out of bed within fifteen minutes, where I gave up on sleep and sat at my computer all night and all the next day until my eyes wouldn’t stay open anymore. Then for the next week, all I did was eat and sleep (minimally) and the first draft was born. I was so emotionally drained from it, I put it away for a month, and then came back to it and went back into the world of Elena.

My question was, what makes someone enter into a lifestyle of BDSM? What makes them enjoy pain? Enjoy being degraded? Then I realized, it’s not a matter of enjoyment necessarily. It’s a matter of your world spinning out of control. And this is a way to ground yourself. Elena has become so special to me. The first book is tragic and I cried several times while writing it. The second book, she starts to find herself, and in the third book … well, the third book leaves your mouth hanging open. I hope you enjoy this journey with me. It’s been an emotional one.

This book is intended for mature audiences only. There are explicit scenes of abuse, language and questionable sexual situations. Eighteen and older only. This story is about a woman so abused she turns into a person most wouldn’t even fathom becoming.

When Mary is taken from her small town she ends up halfway across the country, in the hands of men who only wish to harm her. Her life becomes all about the pain, and slowly her old life fades away until she no longer knows who she really is. Just when she thinks she might have a reprieve from the beatings she falls into the hands of yet another dangerous man, a man she had trusted.
This is an exceptionally compelling novel about power. As Mary becomes Elena she learns who has the power over her and how very little of herself she still owns. The story is incredibly dark but it is told from an innocent teenager’s point of view, making it a powerful text.
The story is emotive and uncomfortable but it isn’t over, it continues in the next book of the series. I’m sure this book isn’t for everyone but I really enjoyed it. It was written beautifully even with its dark theme. The only thing I wasn’t sure about was that the ending didn’t tie in with the beginning as well as I wanted, but I’m sure that if I purchase the next book it will give me the answers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not something I expected 1 February 2016

I loved the book. This is so different than what I'm used to reading by Melody Anne. It does leave you hanging. The only problem I have with this book is you only get 40% and the rest of it is Surrender.

2.0 out of 5 stars Reader Beware 28 May 2016

I've read all of Melody Anne's books and was excited at the prospect of her new series. I can't promote this book or recommend it. It is sick - much darker than the warnings. Who can think of this stuff? It may be someone's reality, but I read to escape, not to cringe and be stressed. I see by the other reviews it is a hit, but it is not for me. Read at your own risk.

5.0 out of 5 stars VERY Dark and Intense and GOOD 3 February 2016

Oh my this is one very good but very rough read. I say tough in the highest and best sense of the way. I had no idea that author Melody Anne could write material that is so dark and so deep.
It had me reading this book from the first page until the very last one without stopping even missing my shows. This is a series but i figured that out when it says 1 in the title so expect that it has a CLIFFHANGER folks!

Mary or Elena was kidnapped as a teen and this is the story of how she becomes Elena. Who do you trust when you don't know what to trust or even remember who you are?
There might be triggers for you in this book so please be aware and read the blurb before buying. Like I said before TOTALLY Different than her other series but SO GOOD and SO DARK and OH SO INTENSE and GOOD.
Looking forward to part 2 which I hope is soon.

2.0 out of 5 stars Changed review after reading book 2 1 September 2016

My first take on book 1 then a review on book 2 below which has changed my opinion.

I've not read any of Melody Anne's books before and I'm enjoying the well written, and journey of this book. I will be continuing on with this series with much anticipation. About 2/3 of the way through I felt it lagged somewhat which is why the 3.5 star review and I was getting a little annoyed at Elena but the GREAT news is the grammar and punctuation is spot on and for me that is a BIG plus! Fully recommend this DARK ROMANCE but ONLY if you like dark stories otherwise it's a tough and intense read with a tale of anguish.

Forever Lost: Becoming Elena - Book Two 2.5 stars!

I really enjoyed the first one but this one has left me confused with the way the author suddenly switches the direction of the characters and the lame excuses her characters give. I'm not a big fan of girl-on-girl but when it's saturated in book 2, it really turned me off! Together with the about-face Elena does and the so called 'training' Dalton gives her - it has shot this book into a regret area for me as I was so excited to finally found a series to really absorb and get lost in. I went and looked at some of the comments for book three and that made the decision for me to NOT continue on with this series. I'm so disappointed and angry all at the same time.

1.0 out of 5 stars I did not like this book 17 August 2016

I'm sorry I'm a huge fan of Melody Anne books, but this is one book I could not finished. It's was to dark to read about young girls being physically & mentally abused, kidnapped, and sexually violated. I stopped at chapter 11 because I couldn't bring myself to read about a man taking advantage of a broken under age girl. I know sex slaves are real but to read the process they go through during leisure time is over the top. Sorry Ms. Anne I'll stick with your meddling Joseph and his clan.
