Olivia is a gymnast in a tiny little town called Toast in America. When she is selected to train in Paris she is over the moon. Her adventure starts on the plane with the extremely attractive guy sitting next to her, but she's shocked when they land and he kisses her. Olivia's roommate is a trust fund girl named Maggie, and when they head out to discover Paris, they never imagine they might never make it home. Max is the gymnastics instructor that has recruited Olivia and Maggie, he is an amazing judge of character, so when neither of them turn up for their first class, he's suspicious. When he starts to investigate and notices things from his past coming into play, he does all he can to rescue both girls. But sometimes even the best day of your life can change into your worst nightmare in a heartbeat.

I totally loved the story, I loved how Max had moved on from his past, but also kept enough of an eye out to know when things weren't as they seemed. Olivia's was a great character, young, determined and fought for what was right. A thoroughly delightful story

I received an ARC for an honest and fair review

Another great read from author Alexis Abbott!

Olivia (Liv) Greenwood is an innocent, somewhat sheltered teenager who gets recruited by the dark and mysterious gymnastics coach Maksim (Max) Pavlenko. She travels to Paris where she will attend University and train for his gymnastics team. Even though he seems standoffish and somewhat scary, she's still feel this pull toward him.

Max has a dark past. A past he wants to remain secret. He's determine to live a normal life. He's immediately drawn to the young and beautiful Oliva, but tries to ignore his feelings. She's his student after all. But what he doesn't realize is THAT moment when he meets Oliva, is THE moment that will change the course of their lives forever.

Things don't go as planned, as Olivia finds herself in the clutches of some very bad individuals. Luckily, Max knows all about those type of people. It's a life he wanted to give up, but how can he when the woman he loves is in danger.

As much as I enjoyed this story, I was a little bit disappointed with Max. after reading Captive of the Hitman I expected this kind of bossy, dominant alpha male, but I didn't get that. Yes, Max was a skilled killer, but he was just so gosh darn sweet. He was much softer, and gentler than I expected him to be. Don't get me wrong, he was great...I just expected more.

And yes, the storyline was reminiscent to the movie Taken, but unlike that story, this one involved a handsome gymnastics coach/slash retired mafia hitman. I don't know about you, but I'd take Maksim Pavlenko any day over Liam Neeson. Just sayin'. ;)

STOLEN FROM THE HITMAN : A BAD BOY MAFIA ROMANCE
ALEXIS ABBOTT
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

OMFG!!! What an amazing book!!! I was compleately pulled into the story right from the very first page!!! And a huge WOW for the awesome characters... They will steal a piece of you forever!!!
Liv has just recieved her valedictorian in gymnastics and at 18, has been chosen to attend school in Paris with Monsieur Pavlenko...
Max Pavlenko is a Hitman!!! Who has 'retired' and now teaches!!! When two of his students find themselves in serious trouble... It's up to him to help!!!
Without giving away any spoilers... I will just recommend for everyone to READ THIS BOOK ASAP!!!
The story is amazing and pulls you in, the flow is spot on and the attraction between the two main characters will blow your mind!!!
With twists and turns throughout, i will say that for me it was a truly brilliant 10/10 read... And i am desperate to find out what Ms Abbott has planned next!!! But whatever it is, without a doubt... I will be waiting patiently!!! (well i'll try)

** Review written by Kylie from Bloggers From Down Under **

Olivia is a promising gymnast with her whole future in front of her. When she’s approached by a European recruiter, it’s a dream come true for Liv. To live and train in Paris for the year, who wouldn’t jump at the chance?

A nervous flyer at the best of times, Liv is relieved to become acquainted with Will, who is also studying at the university.

When Liv and her room mate Maggie are invited to a party, they reluctantly agree. Soon they will be wishing they stayed in their dorm. The terror and torture they both endure is horrendous.

Will either girl ever see the light of day again?
Who is behind their abduction? Will they be caught?

When I was asked to read this book, I didn’t expect it to have so many twists and turns, but they sure kept me intrigued. An excellent read for those that like a little bit of mystery with a touch of romance thrown in.

Captivating 5/5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

***I try to write an honest review and offer pros and cons as requested by authors. I never accept freebies***

Yes, like other reviewers, I can see a few similarities to Taken, the movie, but there are many more differences. So, it can definitely stand on it's own and make it's own statement.
I thought the scenario was very interesting even though a retired Russian Mafia hitman ending up as a gymnastics coach associated with a Parisian University was a little different. No background check? 😮
Handsome Max was a combination of a ruthless and an ethical man. Pretty, small and only eighteen, Liv, the gymnast, was innocent and naive. She was strong, too. However, she made a bad decision one night and ended up in a nightmarish situation. She needed a hero, and Max was it! Was she a little young and inexperienced for manly Max? Maybe.
I thought Alexis told a good story through her well-thought-out plot. She included some good insights into the characters, action-packed drama, a fast-paced read and a hot romance. The beginning section of the book (preParis) was a bit thin, though, and didn't provide essential details - e.g. throughout the book, Liv reflects on her first impressions of Max as well as his demeanor, but readers were not given a deep insight at the time.
Overall, it was a good read that I recommend to those who like this genre.
