Product description

Product Description

There’s a phrase: Still waters run deep.

But there’s more to it than that.

Because "still" doesn’t denote peace. Nor calm. Nor happiness.

It’s an illusion. It's chaos.

The only way to handle chaos is to become it.

That’s what Lucy did. She created stillness out of the chaos tumbling inside her and called the most chaotic motorcycle club in the United States her family.

The Sons of Templar gave her chaos, friendship, family, danger and death.

But she wouldn't want it any other way.

Then he came. The one who showed her that her handle on chaos was tumultuous at best.

Showed her how to stand still.

And how good it could be.

And how drowning in those waters comes as easy as breathing.

I can't say how much I loved reading this book. Finding out about Keltan and Lucy's story was perfect and better than I imagined.
It is a real page turner and I really struggled to put it down.
A definite read for a lover of romance and great story line.

Anne Malcom is not a new author to me - I have read and loved every book she has released. She is a guaranteed "One Click Author" for me. This meant I happily opened my Still Waters ARC (after squealing like a fangirl at a Bieber concert) ready to enjoy an evening of Anne's words - expecting her usual witty dialogue, hot alphas and plenty of steamy action. I got this, but I also got so much more.

It was quite simply, in my opinion, her best work to date.

Don't worry readers we still get her brand of action romance, sassy heroines you instantly want to be best friends with, alphas who make you swoon and dialogue (internal and spoken) which is so funny you will definitely LOL. Nobody sets a scene like Anne.

I glanced at his steady and confident gait, the way he walked with an air about him that exuded something more than masculinity. Like he could handle anything that came at him. Like he could dismantle a car bomb while pleasuring a woman.

I nodded once, knowing my drunken self might “yippee” with glee if I spoke. And then my sober self would’ve had to throat-punch my drunk self.

I was in a masculine stance sandwich, and I wasn’t even enjoying it. Okay, I was enjoying it a little. But that was the problem.

Lucy was already a favourite of mine from the Sons of Templar series but this book gives us her full story - and it's definitely not all hearts and flowers. Lucky for her, Keltan is not a man easily scared away and with his background he has an understanding of battling your demons.

He let go of my hand. Then he stood there, in the middle of my black-and-white room, my black-and-white life, and leaked color all over the place.

“You’re so much more than you seem,” I whispered.

I really enjoyed this book, the storyline sucks you in and keeps you intereseted tilll the end and it is packed full of drama, love, action and a whole heap of testosterone. I have previousley read this author's Sons of Templar MC series and I love how this book ties into that series but it also a great book on it's own. I am excited to see what comes next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Waters is everything I love about getting lost in a book. 1 April 2017
By Elizabeth Sherrell - Published on Amazon.com

Still Waters is an introduction to Anne Malcom’s work for me and after reading this amazing story from her, she’s officially added to my one-click list! This is a spin-off from her Sons of Templar MC series, which is currently sitting on my kindle not-so-patiently calling my name.

“It was unnatural, the naturalness of the conversation, of my need for a practical stranger.”

Still Waters follows Lucy and Keltan, the heartbreaking pasts they come from, and the undeniable attraction and chemistry the two have together. Lucy is a bold, confident heroine who I loved. Keltan was her perfect match. He lovingly nicknames her “Snow,” a complete Alpha--which is my weakness when it comes to the heroes I read about. I absolutely loved these two, and the emotional roller-coaster they took me on.

“You’re so much more than you seem,” I whispered. His hands tightened around me as he grinned. “And what do I seem, Snow?” I traced his jaw. “I don’t know. Still, I guess.” “Still waters run deep, baby.”

I devoured this beautiful story—Anne’s words were captivating, it had angst, and tugged on my heartstrings leaving me in an emotional mess at times. It had everything I love about getting lost in a book.

“People may not belong to people, but you’re not people. Never were. You were always more. Always mine.”

I highly recommend Still Waters, and can’t wait for the next book in this series!

While I absolutely love The Sons of Templar books and I was son looking forward to this extension of that series, I was just disappointed. The book was a bit confusing at first since it went way back in time and when reading it I was thinking to myself, this can't be right because I know this person that they are talking about has found their person. The first half of the book was mainly back story. While I totally get the need for a back story, there doesn't need to be so much written about it. Then the 2nd part of the book was more in the present, but the still didn't really get together until the last part of the book. There needed to be much more interaction between the main characters. It seemed this was more of setting up for the minor characters in this book to have their own books. This just didn't grab my attention and suck me in ,like her MC books.
4.0 out of 5 stars New Spinoff Series 5 April 2017

Still Waters is the first from the Greenstone Security series, which is a spinoff series from the Sons of Templar. Although this is a new series, I recommend reading SOT first for the background. We meet the H/h and supporting characters in SOT.

I don't know whether Lucy infuriated me or amazed me - to walk away from Keltan, she is definitely stronger than I am! Her past has taught her she does not need a man to fix her. But she hasn't recognized that she needs to fix herself either, until Keltan sees right into her soul. Me? I would have latched on to Keltan from the beginning! lol!

Anne is a master at weaving a saga that starts in SOT and transitions to Greenstone Security. The dialog flows well, the characters are well developed, and even the "missing" parts are alluded to enough for us to either fill in the blanks or know more is coming. Another great read from one of my favorites Author peeps!

This is book One in Ms Malcom's new series and I cannot say enough how much I loved this book.
I've been a HUGE fan of Anne Malcom for quite sometime; her Sons of Templar series being one of my favorites! But this book was everything!!!
The best part (for me at least) was the relationship between Lucy and Rosie; these girls have been in so many of the SOT books but experiencing their best friend/family relationship just made my heart happy. The relationships you have with a Best Friend that love is just as important as romantic love in every girls life and Anne Malcom wrote this relationship so beautifully. "A breakup with a girlfriend isn't just the loss of the partner who shares your bed. It's the sister who you share your life with. The one you don't have to pretend with". This is a must read for sure! All the love, drama and action that is packed into this book is just amazing and I'm definitely excited to read the next installment in the series.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book!! 8 April 2017

Still Waters is an amazing book. This is a spinoff of the Sons of Templar series, and what an absolute great start to this new series. We first meet Keltan and Lucy in the first SoT book, Making the Cut. This book follows the two year journey from when Lucy and Keltan first met, to where they are currently.
I loved following their journey, where Keltan was so sure of Lucy, but had demons to deal with. Lucy also has her own demons that she needs to work through, and watching them both work through their own demons was beautiful.
