Product Description

Good times didn’t last forever. While Beth Hart had enjoyed being the sometimes girlfriend of Max Reynolds—the hot bass player for Black Addiction—she knew it would never be more than a casual fling. He was destined for greatness, and she cared too much to hold him back. So, before she lost her heart and her sanity, she said goodbye to the Bronx, moved to Manhattan and left her party-girl days in the past—along with Max.

Nothing made Max happier than being a success in his own right. And in the last few years, he and his band had well and truly earned it. Moving to the city and enjoying the spoils of his new lifestyle made perfect sense, and he loved his new address. It wasn’t his new huge penthouse apartment that got him excited; it was his new neighbor. The one girl he regretted letting go—Beth.

He wanted her back and would do anything to make it happen. Hopefully it wasn’t too late.

**ARC given in exchange for an honest review**
STAND is the third installment of T.Gephart's Black addiction series. As in all her books, Gephart is able to blend humour and romance flawlessly.

Max is a bass player for Black addiction, a group that rose to fame after touring with Power Station (The band from T.Gephart's previous series) I have always liked Max, his calm and cool persona making him a loveable guy, but his alpha tendencies did get kick started a few times throughout the book.
Beth has known Max, and been his on again off again girl, since before he was famous. While the teaching references were quite accurate; "well it was a wonder why teachers didn't have a hip flask and a healthy whisky addiction by lunchtime. Okay, so maybe some did." I did find it hard to believe that a catch such as Max was let go so often by an intelligent woman like Beth. Perhaps inexperience and naivety can be blamed, but I don't think I would have let him go.....EVER!

4.5 fabulous stars for Stand.

** Review written by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Omfg…..T Gephart has done it again!

Stand…What can I say other than this novel, the last in the Black Addiction series left me reeling….I wanted more….I loved it!

In the last instalment of this amazing series we get to meet Max and Beth.
They have been on again/off again for years. Their relationship status, well they kinda don’t have one. Every time they see each other, when Beth is home from college they always find their way back to each other.
But why the no commitment?
Because Beth know that’s it’s just a matter of time before Black Addiction, and Max the bass player will make it big, going global. She will never hold him back. This is what Max has always wanted. So Beth makes the heartbreaking decision to let Max go. It’s time for them to create their own success…..Apart.

Move forward four years. Max and Black Addiction are kicking butt in the music world, while Beth has followed her dream and finally left the Bronx and moved into upscale New York becoming a teacher.
Both Max and Beth have made it.
They have followed their dreams.
But they have never been far from each others thoughts.

But one chance encounter, or would we call it fate will change the course of Max and Beths life forever.
Their worlds are about to collide.
They will come face to face in the most unusual of circumstances.
And when they do , believe me guys you have one explosive read.

They have chemistry.
The need, desire and want is there.
But why is Beth holding back?
Why is she so afraid to give herself to Max?
Can Max chip away the layers of Beths mind and find their happily ever after together?
Or will it all be for nothing?

This is the final book in the Black Addiction series, and for this I am sad

I have loved each and every story in this series to date, and it was the same with Stand.

Max is the bass player for Black Addiction and has seen all his band mates succumb to love.

There has only ever been one woman for him - Beth.

Over the years, Beth has never really completely moved on from Max, so when their worlds collide again - they can't help but fall back into their old routines.

I loved that even after all the time apart there is still the ease between them, when it could all be awkward.

I admit that I didn't connect with Beth as much as I have done with the previous leading ladies in this series, but that could just have been my mood when I was reading. I am sure I will feel different when I go back and reread.

Beth and Max are sweet, sexy, hot to trot and who knows, maybe this time things will stick?

I loved the banter between Max and his bandmates, Beth and her best friend. They made me laugh so hard.

I am going to miss the Black Addiction guys and gals, but I am really looking forward to whatever Ms Gephart brings us next.
