To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I always enjoy Woodman's books and they retain a strong sense of place. However I gave it 4 rather than 5 because I didn't find the central female character particularly likeable. Firstly I couldn't see why she could do more by some means or other to see that her ex paid something towards their joint debts, and secondly she was rather foolish about the main relationship in the text and other folks' relationships too. If you enjoy horses and the work of a female farrier then this book is well researched and interesting.
Thoroughly enjoyed Springtime at Cherry Tree Cottage. Well worth reading. Have a nice little collection of Cathy Woodman Talyton St. George books on my kindle now.
I really enjoyed reading the latest instalment in this series. Although this book follows the line of other books in the series, the setting and new characters make it very readable. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Great book! Think I've read just about all of Cathy Woodman's books now and am just starting to read them again. Stories are really entertaining with funny characters that you get to know and love. They make you laugh and make you cry so keep a box of tissues handy. Enjoy!
