Was please to receive and unbox my 2pak sportneer chairs. The site of 2 small black and orange case was pleasing, especially as I bought these chairs for the compactness.
Assembly was intuitive and easy and packing away likewise. So in terms of ease of use and assembly these chairs are a winner.
Here comes the catch. The chairs are wide enough for most so that’s not the problem. The low backs mean getting into a comfortable seating position is near impossible. In my mind this defeats the ultimate goal of a camping chair.... getting comfy!
I guess it’s too much to ask for a compact easy to assemble camping chair that is ALSO comfortable.

I have two other ultralight folding camping chairs and this one was purchased for my young son, who wanted something closer to the ground. This chair packs up nice and small and the little man can pick up the chair easily and move it around on his own. When we go away camping, the traditional camping chairs are so heavy and take up so much space at the back of the car. These ultralight camping chairs are a real game changer.

Whilst this is still a copy of the original Helinox Chair One camping chair, for the number of times that I'll be using, I am happy to compromise on quality for low purchase cost. Especially if my son outgrows the chair quickly.

This chair is just as comfortable and sturdy.Worried about other reviews of chair collapsing on first setup as well as being hard to assemble. Practically sets itself up! I weigh in at 235lb and felt secure sitting in the chair - admittedly on an even floor - but I will only use it on a secure surface because I have no illusions

At first I thought I had received a faulty item, as I couldn't get the chair material to stretch over the poles once assembled. The instructions are not very helpful. I emailed Sportneer directly but their customer service was terrible. I did some Googling and watched YouTube videos of the assembly, and realised you have to installed the chair material to the top poles first, then turn it on its side, flat on a hard surface, and really use a lot of strength to stretch the material over the bottom poles. I finally got mine to assemble.

The chair feels sturdy despite how light it is, however if you sit in the chair properly, you are lying back so I can imagine you would get a sore neck if you are straining to look forward all the time. You can sit up in the chair without leaning against the back rest.

I also bought the Trekology Sand Cover for under the chair and that attaches well.

Very compact & lightweight , the frame could be a bit more solid as I am only 80kg but it flexes & gives the feeling that it may break. I have only used it once or twice . It will blow away in the wind like a kite but the material etc is very heavy duty ..

I was really excited for this chair. Bought it over the winter and got to use it for the first time recently on a trip to Algonquin. One of the legs bent on the very first use on my chair AND on my husband's chair. We're both *well* under the weight limit and it was being used on level hardpacked soil. Really disappointed that it didn't work out and that we wasted our money. Looking at other reviews it seems we're not the only ones with this problem.

We're using these 2 chairs frequently. Keep them in the trunk of the car and are lightweight, strong, sturdy. Only in softer grounds/mud do they tend to "sink" in the ground. Not a real issue other chairs are better at I guess. Consider buying 2 more!

I waited until I got to use this chair a few times before leaving a review. One of my biggest concerns with ultralight chairs is having them break, and getting impaled by a broken pole. This chair appears to be designed so that if a pole breaks, the worst thing to happen is you fall 12" to the ground. Not good, but not fatal. I weigh 210 lbs (and a friend with same chair weighs over 250lbs) and the chair is sturdy, comfortable, and light enough that the comfort is worth carrying it. I'll even bring this on hiking trips where I have to carry it rather than have the canoe do all the work. There is nothing like walking 8-15km's, setting up and camp, and sitting in a comfortable chair while you watch your poor friend sit on a closed cell foam pad. If this ever breaks, I'll just by another... it's that good.

So far this is excellent. Exactly what I wanted for backpacking and camping. Yes it is small, but I'm 6'3, 185 lbs, and find it very comfortable. Seems well build and sturdy. If you're in the market for a light weight compact chair, this is the one for sure. Great value. Don't buy this thinking it's a replacement for a full size folding outdoor chair, like I said it is small, and sits fairly low, but the seating position is excellent, gives lots of support. Way better than a small folding camp stool, or a chunk of wood!
