(Suncoast Society series book #45)

[Siren Sensations ManLove: Erotic Alternative Consensual BDSM, M/M, bondage, sex toys, spanking, HEA]

Following a humiliating breakup with his abusive ex and business partner, Wylie sells his software company and moves to Florida. He's determined to be self-sufficient and turn his rundown homestead around.

One slight problem--he has absolutely no clue what he's doing. He's in way over his head.

Everett's a skilled artisan metalworker exploring his kinky side. He never went to college, but he's good at what he does, even if he doesn't earn much working Ren fair circuits. Enter a job offer from Leo, which solves one of his problems. When the Viking blacksmith and the computer geek meet over a welding job, sparks fly. Literally. Egos clash between the two fish out of water while their intense chemistry draws them together. With love and sex as hot as Everett's forge, the two men fall hard.

Then, Wylie's ex tries to blackmail him back to California. Is Wylie's spine tempered steel? Or will Everett lose his first true love?

But didn't love this one. Something just didn't click for me between these two. I loved that we got more time with the couple than we have in some other books but not in love with this book. Love the series and will continue reading it.

Sometimes other books in this series have felt rushed, short on character development. With a formula feel. Not this one. Emotional, multifaceted and deep character development and twists and turns in the plot made for several sleepless nights. Thank you Tymber. More like this one please.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love this series from Ms Dalton I have not read ... 6 April 2017
By Denise - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition

Ok now that I said that, I love this series from Ms Dalton I have not read all the prior books as I jump in and out of the series as blurb grabs me, and this one did!

Wylie and Everett were made for each other! The author used a slow build here not just with them meeting each other, as she allows the reader to get to know each man before the meet each other but also with the sex which may not be what you expect from a series whose theme is the sex club the characters visit but it so works!
Both characters have pasts that effect who they are when the reader meets them and who were when we meet them.
Make no mistake about it, the pull they have for each other is blaring clear, the sexual tension drips off of the pages but Everett has them wait and wow did I love that. When Wylie and Everett finally connect physically it is off the charts hot and laced with deep emotions!

The past does come to visit in this one but the how it plays out will never ever having you questioning these mens love and devotion for each other.

I love loved the use of Everett’s parents toward the end the book, there was an exchange with his parents that almost had me snorting coffee out of my nose! So good

As the story evolved both men not only found their own way in the relationship but also in the careers and life’s passions for me this make the story even better!

I love that Ms Dalton has now woven some gay romance stories into this series! This is a couple who I hope makes a guest appearance in future books in this series

It should be noted I think the love story part of this story is higher than 4 stars but there was few elements of the book, particularly around Everett’s employment that I struggled to understand and had to re-read to get a good mental picture of what was going on.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Isolation 8 April 2017

This was a really good book. This was book 45 in the "Suncoast Society" series. Wylie Young moved to Florida from Los Angeles CA. to get away from his abusive ex who was also his partner in his software company after he bought him out so he buys a homestead to prove to him that he can do it and to also prove to his dead mother that he can also. Everett Cannon has been separated from his wife Lara for two years after he admitted to her that he is gay and kinky. Everett is a skilled artisan metalworker and welder who met Logan at a ren fair when he bought a knife from him and wanted a custom pair of handcuff Everett also meets Leo and his pack at the fair and gets a job offer from him. When he goes out on a job he meets Wylie and the two don't get off on the right foot. Everett is dealing with the guilt of his failed marriage to Lara who turns out has some Dom in her. With Tilly playing matchmaker these two meet at a non-kinky party that Landry, Cris, and Tilly are having. I really like the group of friends in the Society Leo and his pack take Everett under there wing and turns out he knew Eliza and Rusty from the fairs. Everett wants to take it slow and date he wants them to get to know each other. In the book we also get to meet Eve Everett's sister I really liked her and his ex Lara. When Landry hires Wylie to do some consulting for him he has to go to L.A. where he meets Doyle and Mevi, Wylie talks to Doyle about the things that his ex did to him and how he treated him and he even comes face to face with the man Ralph. When Ralph shows up in Florida offering Wylie a job in which he turns him down he tries to blackmail him into taking it. This was a really good read the sex scene's in this book were hot. I also liked that Everett and Wylie were able to help Mark the 14 year old neighbor that helps Wylie on the homestead turns out he is gay and not sure how his father will take it. When Lara breaks up with her boyfriend at dinner Mark's father takes her home and the two of them start dating I can't wait to read there book. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.
