Excellent follow up adventures.

Epic adventure. A follow up book even better than the first. If you like Tolkien or George RR Martin you will love this book.

Just great!

Amazing! If you like action, danger, dragons, witches, goddesses, pixies, sirens, giants, dwarves, magic and maybe a bit of gore, this is the book for you! It has it all! I fell in love with the dragons, but then I have always had a soft spot for dragons, lol. These were powerful dragons, not dragon shifters. <sigh> I want one. lol. And the heroine was wonderful, so strong yet vulnerable. I really liked all the characters, even some who didn't make the best decisions now and then. So many magical elements at play here. Curses, magic stones, spirits, power-hungry evil goddesses...so much I can't even list them all here. When I reached the end I let out a breath I hadn't even known I was holding! There is a lot of excitement here and I was totally caught up in all of it. Now I need the next book to find out what will happen next!! (I had read an advanced copy, and still bought a copy, and this is my very honest review.)

Great series!

I bought this after reading the first book of this series, Curse of the Ice Dragon, in the Wrath and Ruin collection. I love the emotion behind each of the characters, and what happens to people — and literally the planet — when love and compassion are missing. It's also nice to see people admit when they are wrong, and for others to forgive them. My only complaint was that other than a couple of brief "visions," Markus was completely missing from this book. I am looking forward to seeing it all wrapped up in April with Scorn of the Sky Goddess!
I took one star off for a lot of typos that could have been fixed with another passover.

Fun ride

I love paranormal books - always have. I love the magic and folklore. Personally, I have always had a soft spot for dragons, so this one was a lot of fun. Most are loyal and fiercely protective, and I think that's why I gravitate to stories with them. :)
In Spirit of the Sea Witch, there is non stop adventure with some laughs thrown in, which I love. This story a sequel to Curse of the Ice Dragon (that one can be found in the Wrath and Ruin collection), and it managed to surprise me with a few things amid all the twists and turns. You can vividly imagine everything from the color of the dragon scales to the tumultuous seas and salt spray. I am anxious to read the next installment of this story!
