These are the best hair accessory I've ever tried for my crazy thick hair! No pulling, no getting stuck, just a few simple twists and everything stays in place. Love these and will be buying more so I am never without again.
It is too short to fix hair. I have been a loyal user of this type of hair pins for over 8 years, and I usually got another brand. This time I tired this packet of 8 on Amazon. It is deeply disappointing and I threw them all out after couple of tries. These pins are simply too short to hold a bun of hair. Unfortunately, the buyer cannot tell the length from the pics, so I think it is good to let other people know that by writing this review.
I work in a grocery store and have hair that reached my butt.... obviously, it must be contained somehow, even if I am working the freezer. My hair gets stuck in everything. Some days I go all out and use on of those bizarre donut bun things, but they require patience and pins, AND at the end of the day my scalp aches a bit. These screw type pins are my more common go to, and thanks to the value compared to the 2 or so you can buy at target, I can keep a few in my purse just in case. All you do is twist your hair into a rope, curl it up like a snake (?) and screw in one pin to the loose ends and another to secure (I usually put mine in at opposite directions towards each other. No pins, no muss, no problem. SO fast and easy.
They also do a nice job at a french twist and (if you buy a smaller size) hold the ends of braids to your head if you are doing crown/base of the neck crossing pigtail type style SUPER securely, meaning less pins in your laundry, on your floor, in the couch, in the shower, at your significant other's place, etc).
These are my new favorite go to for a lazy lady who wants her hair out of her way and also to look fancy as heck.
These work...pretty much exactly like the Goody Spin pins. I think they may be a little shorter and I wish they came in other colors, but such a good price for a product I will be misplacing just like I did my Goody brand ones.
No sharp edges. Was able to put them in without even looking at anything but Candy Crush. Have 4 in my hair now and nothings moving.
I've bought spin pins for years, I bought the goody brand, cheap knockoffs from china and everywhere in between... these fall into the in between area. The quality is inconsistent. If you've used spin pins before you know it's important that they be smooth and have rounded edges to make inserting and removing them from your hair easy or... well, possible! The two pins pictured came from the same pack today and haven't been used, one looks great but the end... glob? Is a little big, witch catches hair on removal. The other's black coating is coming off and it's very rough to the touch. No way it'd go into my hair. Basically at over a dollar a pin I'd like them to all be functional, not the first 2 out of 3 I take out of the pack to be useless
