Can Trinity control her power?
Trinity is headed home to celebrate Christmas with her Gran. She hasn't been back in nearly ten years staying away from the man she has longed for since she was young. The man who has starred in every one of her fantasies, her Gran's next door neighbor, Travis. As her emotions run high, her inherent magic is let loose.
Can Travis let Trinity in?
Travis never noticed Trinity, but has grown close to her grandmother after the loss of his parents and his uncle. When Trinity comes swirling into the house an attraction flares in him but he fears loosing anyone else in his life.
The more time spent together the attraction grows, so does a new found realization that Trinity has a magic that has captured his heart.
Will this spellbinding Christmas be merry?

3.0 out of 5 stars An okay book, but no real passion and unrealistist views. 21 February 2015

I received this as an ARC for a honest review. I may or may not post spoilers.

Now this is a well thought out plot. Good description, some grammar problems but overall a good read.

Now, I did have a hard time with the writing style of the author but most will not. I felt it was a bit choppy and could have been so much more then what she wrote. The main lady Trinity finds out she is a witch. She does not freak, has no major questions of her grandmother and well the author was a bit unrealistic when describing this info in the book. When the main gentleman Travis learns of her witch status he also does not freak or think it odd.

The book lacks passion, it has very good description, a great plot but it lacks passion. There is no real fighting, no real passion .. a kiss which seems tame super tame is about all they share. The mains have not spoken in years but yet fall in love without exchanging more then 20 words to each other. This book is truly a fantasy in the making.

The book is over by 94% and the ads start for her others books and how to get in contact with her if you like to follow her.

5.0 out of 5 stars A sweet Christmas story about coming home, letting go, and finding love. 7 November 2014
By Evanlea's Bookshelf - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Chelsea O'Neal is a dear friend and fellow writer in the Triple Threat Romance collective. Today marks her third release, "A Spellbinding Christmas," and I was lucky enough to read an early copy of the novella.

"A Spellbinding Christmas" is the first in a new series, Scott's Kinfolk Saga. Member's of the Scott family have received special gifts for generations. These gifts allow them to find and help those that need them. Trinity Falough is the youngest of the Scott family line and has been in love with Travis Young since she was eight years old. Unfortunately, he never noticed her... until she returns after being away from town for ten years to spend Christmas with her Gran.

To be honest I'm not a huge fan of novellas - I like to get my teeth in a story and novellas end way too quickly. They lack the character development of a full-length book in many instances and feel rushed more often than not in order to get the story from point A to point B. "A Spellbinding Christmas" left me wanting more because of the "novella" issues, but also because it was a story that caught my interest. I enjoyed the story and feel that it was well written, if not just a bit too clean and wrapped to neatly. This is what happens with a novella because there is just not enough time to really deal with the "angst" of a story that I love so much.

That being said, "A Spellbinding Christmas" is a sweet Christmas story about coming home, letting go, and finding love.

Removing my personal preferences, I give this story 5-stars. My personal preferences make it a 4-star read for me.

Trinity has been gone from her home for 10 years because she couldn't continue to face Travis, the boy next door, whom she has been in love with since the first time she saw him at the age of 8. But when her grandma asks her to come home for Christmas she can't say no. And from there she learns that home really is where the heart is. I can't wait to read more of this series.
4.0 out of 5 stars a charming and magical tale 28 December 2014

this is an novella - a quick charming christmas tale introducing us to trinity scott who is coming home after 10 years- as the story unflolds we find that she was avoiding her next door neighbor travis who she has always had a crush on since meeting him when she was 8- but her gram has called and really wants her to come this christmas so home she goes- i must admit i thought he story was a bit rushed but that usually happens with a novella- everything tied up with a bow-- but it made sense and it gave me a good feeling as i finished it- and i am looking forward to reading more about the magical gifts the scott family have and how they use them
