Derek Waterman and Molly Humphries work for Omega Sector. He as a critical response agent and she as the lead forensic scientist. When the agents work on trying to find out who is behind a terrorist attack, they find some evidence that may give them the information they need. They get Derek to ask Molly to process the evidence because she would never say no to him. She actually doesn't say much around him at all because she gets so flustered when he's around that she can bearly speak. Derek is attracted to her too but hides it.
Shortly after getting the evidence to process, there is an explosion in the lab. Derek is terrified that he has lost Molly. When she is kidnapped he's even more worried but determined to find her.
This book had me up most of the night. I continually wanted to find out what was going to happen next and just couldn't stop reading. The writing was so good that I could easily picture what was happening. Some of it was frightening but there were happy parts, too. The romance between Molly and Derek was very subtle. Neither thought they were good enough for the other making it a very slow moving relationship.
If you like romantic suspense, I recommend this book.
