I think there needs to be ratings for saccharine sweet PG romance at the end of the books blurb. The dark and sexy romances warn their readers I believe the sweet romances should too, because believe me this wasn't for me and was a waste of my money and time.
I haven't read this author before and this was advertised as a best seller, with 5 star ratings, she is supposedly a best selling author but wow nothing really happened in this story.
It alludes to their amazing weekend together that we barely get any insight into it, then we are bored senseless as they go to work, feed the poor, keep working together, tend the crusty old mentor, have no action and repeat.
The story is so obvious and cliched, yet the author gives us tid bits like she is teasing us with what will be some big reveal.
We get nothing from our heroine except her ridiculous excuse for not trying a romance. She is the typical boring heroine they love to write about, who is rich by birth but rejects it and struggles financially because she is oh so righteous and for some reason we are supposed to love her for that and relate to her. Why do characters have to be ashamed of coming from a rich background? Sorry, there is always a balance you could achieve.
As for our Hero, he of course is the opposite (how original) from rags to riches yet he is oh so humble. Ughhh he is so perfect it is sickening. We all have flaws, and yes I know its fiction but please. Make it believable. He helps feed the poor, is successful, gorgeous, hasn't had sex in 5months ( since he met her of course) relentlessly pursues her but gives her space, has money blah blah I could go on that's how ridiculous it is. But I shall leave it here and hope this review helps those who were looking for a good hot contemporary romance and thought this might be a good read, but if you want to read about two sickening goody goodies this is your story. I won't be back this author.

Vi matched him perfectly with Autumn, she had so much heart but such good reasons for keeping it closed off. Her passion and strength made her perfect companion for Donovan. From their meet-cute to their beautiful HEA Vi really gave a story you could sink your teeth into.
This is one of my favourite's from Vi to date. If you haven't read anything by her then it's as good a place as any to start!
