Product Description

I'm failing.

My younger brother is getting worse, and my job - my duty - is to help him at all costs. We've tried everything modern medicine has to offer and nothing works.

Nothing.

Deciding to turn to unconventional treatments, we end up at Fire-on-the-Mountain, a holistic resort deep in the Rockies.

In our search for medical marijuana, I find beautiful, free-spirited Hudson Shavell - a girl who may not only hold the key to heal my brother, but to fix me as well. Even though I can't afford distractions right now, she's all I can think about. All that I want.

It's funny how everything can change with one little SPARK.

***Though Spark is the first book in the Fire on the Mountain Series, it is a stand alone novel***
***Intended for mature audiences only***

Crew Elliot and his family have moved from Dallas to the mountains of Colorado in search of a clean lifestyle and treatment for Caleb, Crew's younger brother. Caleb suffers with epilepsy. They've exhausted all the traditional methods of treatment and are now going for the unconventional. Marijuana. They arrive at Fire On The Mountain, a resort run by a hippie family with too many beautiful daughters to count, who also happen to grow and sell marijuana for their dispensary. Crew is drawn immediately to one daughter in particular. Hudson Shavell. She's a joint-toking, modern day Rapunzel with a helper mentality. Hudson is prepared to do whatever she can to help Caleb and his family. She wouldn't mind helping herself to his older brother, Crew. He's a little bit dangerous and a lot tempting. Even with her lack of experience, something tells her she'll have to be careful not to give too much.
What a ride! I had to have some recovery time after reading this emotional story. I felt pulled apart before being put back together, in a slightly different order. If you or anyone you know is affected by epilepsy, you'll probably feel the same.
The legalization of marijuana for medicinal use has been a hot topic here in Australia, recently. Erin Noelle illustrates the human realities of this issue. I wanted to join the fight for Caleb to have some normalcy and relief. Reading how Hudson and Crew’s families formed a solid unit of support for Caleb's cause, pulled at my heartstrings.
Hudson has the tendency to be a martyr. She'll suffer to ease others' pain and work herself ragged to help where she's needed. She's an inherently peaceful soul, but when her world is shaken up, she shows her strength.
Crew will sacrifice whatever he has to so he can help his family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crew and Hudson both captured my hearts so much 21 April 2015

I can't express enough how much I absolutely adored Spark!! Crew and Hudson both captured my hearts so much - Hudson is one of those chicks that's just super cool and you'd love for her to be your friend. Crew - well, he's super awesome. Totally hot and amazing in his own right. He has such a heart for his family and is willing to give up anything for them.

Erin has this way of writing that gets you in this warm, fuzzy and cozy place. You feel like a warm blanket has been wrapped around you on a cold winter day and you just feel... happy. But with all Erin Noelle greatness, she shakes you up. Makes your heart beat even faster, makes you love even deeper and makes you fall even harder for the characters.

I'm not gonna lie. I cried. But it's a beautiful story and so worth the tears. Spark is unlike ANYTHING I have read. I love that Erin takes the forbidden topics and puts them out there for us to fall in love with. For us to devour, for us to rethink what is socially acceptable and remind us to have an open mind about who we are in the world.

4.0 out of 5 stars Simply Beautiful 2 June 2015

4.5 Stars
“Whatever this spark is between y’all may blaze into something spectacular, or it may simmer out, but wither way, I think you’ll be shortchanging yourself if you don’t give it a shot.”

Crew, is handsome, smart, and cocky. He always gets what he wants and when it comes to the ladies, let’s just say he has the pick of the litter. Crew isn’t focused isn’t on them, they are just an outlet to relieve his stress and frustrations. Now that he is done with high school his focus is on continuing to help his mom take care of his younger brother Caleb. Caleb suffers from Grand Mal epilepsy and none of the treatments in Texas are working, in fact he seems to be getting worse. As a family they decide to move to Colorado to try out an alternative treatment with medical marijuana. Staying at a family owned lodge, Crew is immediately drawn to Hudson. She is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen and Crew makes a promise….. she will be his.

“She’s an old soul. There’s nothing shallow with Hudson. Everything she does, everything she feels, she does bone-deep, from the heart. Even if you showed no interest in her whatsoever, she’d still do everything she can to help Caleb. She’s a healer; you can see it in her eyes. It’s part of the reason why she’s so passionate about the marijuana stuff; she does it cause she knows it helps people who are suffering. I’m not sure she’d know how to heal herself if she was ever the one hurting.”

Hudson is beautiful not only on the outside but on the inside as well. She is a fixer, always putting people before herself. She is also in charge of growing the herbs the family uses as well as growing the marijuana for their dispensary. When she meets Crew and his family, she is knocked out of sorts. Never has a guy made her feel alive and she barely spoke to him. They have an immediate spark. When Hudson learns of Caleb’s medical condition, she does all she can to help find some sort of cure, something to help lessen his episodes.

Crew and Hudson’s chemisty is off the charts and soon they spend every moment they can together. Their spark has ignited into so much more and something neither one of them expected. Crew is on top of the world, the medical marijuana seems to be working for his brother, he has a great job and an amazing woman at his side and in the blink of an eye it all changes.

Hudson is doing all she can to help Crew out but he has completely shut her out. Lost and struggling with his anger and pain, he pushes Hudson out of his life. Hudson is devastated, he had been her first for everything. Hudson is known as the family fixer but now she is the broken one and the only person who can fix her, has betrayed her. Tired of playing it safe, she takes her sisters advice and just let’s go.

”Go home and think about what I said. If you’re serious about making it work, you need to show her how you feel. Just don’t wait around for the timing to be perfect, because there’s no such thing in life. You have to make it the perfect time.”

When Crew finally realizes the mistakes he has made with Hudson he does all he can to reignite that spark.
Erin Noelle did an amazing job. I felt every single emotion. This is a beautiful story about hope, loss, finding yourself and love.

“Some things in life are purely unexplainable, no rhyme or reason, completely unforeseen and unexpected. Call it fate, call it destiny, call it whatever the hell you want; sometimes crazy s*** just happens. Simple as that.”

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed... 23 June 2015

The 3 stars are for the first half of the book that I loved!
...SPOILERS...

After tragedy struck he turned into a selfish jerk. He said and did things that I was unable to get over. I read it till the end hoping he would do something to redeem himself but in the end he was still an ass and she was still a doormat.

Loved MILF and really wanted to love this. I will definitely buy her books again because I do love her writing style.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Story! Loved it! 22 April 2015

4.5 Stars!
Once I saw the cover for this book, I wanted to read it, then I read the synopsis, and wanted it, and then I saw the trailer and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book, and Spark did NOT disappoint! It was so much more than what I was expecting, and I loved every second of the journey Erin Noelle took us on.

Spark is a unique story and unlike a lot of other books out there. We meet Crew and find out his brother Caleb is sick and they are looking for anything that can help him. They end up in Colorado to try new ways to help Caleb heal, but what Crew wasn’t expecting was to meet Hudson. Hudson is a free spirit and just an all around good person, and when she finds out about Caleb, she does everything she can to help him.
The spark between Crew and Hudson is HOT and their pull towards one another is undeniable. I loved watching these two get to know one another and the chemistry between them was amazing.

Crew and Hudson’s story is heartbreaking, yet beautiful. My heart hurt for these characters and the things they had to go through during this book. I loved them, but at times I really hated Crew. I understand what he did and why he did it, but that didn’t make it easy for me to love him a few times during this book.

This story is one that sucks you in, and the next thing you know, you’ve finished the book and aren’t sure what to do now. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to scream, and I fell in love. This is an amazing story that everyone needs to read.

This book does deal with some controversial subjects, and I think the author handled them beautifully. I connected with these characters and what they were going through, and Spark is a beautiful story.
