I was in the market for True Wireless Earphones, and I was originally looking at the Airpods. I instead decided to get these during one of the lightning deals as it was a solid price.
These earphones are great, the sound is clear and I believe is the direct upgrade to the SoundPeats Q30 Plus. You can use just the right earbud (Master Control) or both left and right. The microphone can be a little soft, and harder to use in noisy environments but is completely fine for normal everyday use. Unfortunately these aren't perfect. the earbuds that came with it aren't a perfect fit and feels a little loose. Though this doesn't seem to be much of a problem as it stays in even if I shake my head. The other fault I found is that they use micro-b charging technology. I've began my transition to Type C technology and this would be perfect if it was Type C.
These true wireless earbuds come in an understated black color theme and overall design aesthetic, fitting snugly in your ear, without much protruding. An added bonus is the small form factor magnetic charging case, easily enough to slip into a pocket here and there. The charging case can recharge the earbuds about twice or thrice, which provides a welcome boost in power throughout the day when you're not listening, although alone they have an adequate 3 or 4-hour battery life.
Sound quality is definitely one of the best given the price that these earbuds ask for, comparable to the applauded MI Piston 3s. Sound was mostly smooth throughout the entire profile, with only slight distortion at the highs, although it was a bit too bass-heavy for my liking. However, songs still sounded excellent on these earbuds.
Comfort and user operability was the only weaker point of these otherwise flawless earbuds. Although comfort varies from person to person, the angle of these earbuds just didn't sit too well in my ear canals, no matter which tip was used. User controls were also somewhat confusing initially, especially when switching from Stereo to Mono and back. Another note to make would be that operation involves pressing a button on the earbuds, which push them further into your ear canal, which is a slight annoyance. Media control includes Play/Pause, Next, and Previous, but there is no volume adjustment, and each earbud is mapped to only either Next/Previous, which means that with one earbud in, you can't move back and forth between songs.
Connectivity with these earbuds was relatively painless, with Bluetooth 5.0 and connecting fast enough to my devices. However, as mentioned before, toggling between Mono and Stereo was a bit of a pain, and sometimes they suffer dropout, with the leftearbud losing connection.
Build quality is a bit plasticky and flimsy, but there is an ample amount of sweat-resistance, which is an advantage.
All in all, these earbuds were an excellent purchase, and is definitely the best in this price range, as well as maybe even higher. I use these as my go-to workout earbuds, due to its wireless connectivity (over my Bose Soundsport) as well as sometimes for my daily commute when I don't want to lug my headphones around. Would recommend.
The Good: -Epic sound for price -Great bluetooth -Great battery life -Portable charging case -Solid, sweat resistant build
The Bad: -Toggling between Mono and Stereo is too hard -Didn't fit too well -Full media controls require both earbuds, no volume adjustment
I have been using it for two and half months. I’m having issues with connectivity. The left ear bud is turning ON but NOT PAIRING. Power on and power off sound are coming from leftearbud but its not pairing with the other earbud. Only the right ear bud is pairing and working good. The two ear buds are not pairing to each other like before. I have also tried switching between devices but still the same.
I have tried factory reset by placing the two earbuds in the case and pressed & hold the touch button for 10 seconds. The white light flashed twice but the leftearbud was still not working.
Microphone is too bad. Other person on line cannot hear properly. Audio is pretty decent.
The product worked really well until yesterday when the leftearbud stopped playing any sound. The leftearbud still charges and responds to the touch sensor (I know because it pauses and plays music for the right earbud) but just no sound. I have kept my SoundPEATS in good condition and i am incline to believe that this is a fault in the design. i have only had my SoundPEATS for 2 months and i have have a cheaper brand of Bluetooth Earphones that have lasted me a whole year! i was really expecting my SoundPEATS to last much longer.
This is an awesome product at this price. They sound really good. And the case also feels acceptable in terms of quality. The only lacking option is the volume control but it doesn't matter anyways. Not a major issue but for some reason I felt the leftearbud sounds little low than the right one....other than that u Shud try this product. I hope it can last for atleast a year...
The True Capsule is great! I’ve got a pair of TrueFree and I’ve passed it on to my son and upgraded to this. It’s got the same great sound quality that you can expect from this size of earbud, and at this price it’s really has surpassed my expectations. I used to carry my Jaybird X3 with me all the time, but it’s been left in the drawer now that I’ve got this.
I had doubts about these even though the reviews have been amazing! It's unbelievable that these earbuds are so cheap and can the job. The only complaint is that sometimes (though not often) the leftearbud is sometimes disconnected and only the right one is connected and able to play music.
As I prefer to use a single earbud most of time, it seems only the right one can be used individually. once it's running out of battery, it would be better if the left one can function individually as well
Had the sound peats for 3 days, went to go use them again and the leftearbud went quiet and couldn’t hear the volume. By what do you expect at the price 🤷🏽♂️ Might give it another go and buy another pair
