The batteries that come with it are terrible and get very weak within a few weeks of use. You'll notice that the IR volume and TV on buttons become slow and unresponsive, this is the AA batteries that come with it. Put in some strong cells and it's a fantastic remote and will save your PS5 controllers.

As many others have already mentioned, the device saves battery on your controller and is a lot more convenient when watching video content on your PS5. If I was to be super critical you could argue that backlighting for the remote keys would be nice, yet my OLED TV remote doesn't even have that so.....

Put quite simply, it does what it says it should and also controls my TV.
