Product Description

The King is dead, and the capital city of Titanis has fallen. The world of Sonora is at war, and the only hope against the onslaught of the Titan army lies with the last royal descendant of Zeus, who is being covertly sheltered on Earth in the secluded mountain town of Sandy, Oregon.

Allora is a shy, intelligent sixteen-year-old, trying to get through the gauntlet of high school while coming to terms with her otherworldly origins. After getting into a fight at soccer tryouts, Allora's emotions boil over, and her hands suddenly burst into flames. She has harnessed the power of hadrons at the highest level, but at extreme cost. The magical outburst projects an energy signature that is detected by a group of assassins tasked with killing Sonoran rebels.

To survive, Allora, Katie, Dax, and Tanner must find a powerful ancient artifact known as the Eye of the Titans. With the help of a guardian known as Sasquatch, they will have to fight off creatures, solve complex riddles, and navigate magical caverns, all while enduring advanced calculus, jealous girlfriends, and prom.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gripping! 24 February 2017

I enjoyed this book very much. It has a great story and likable characters. It was a little choppy in places and I would have liked more character development on some of the secondary characters, but overall a very enjoyable read.

This book has some good points and some predictable points. There are some grammatical issues that pop up, but it is entertaining. I would look forward to reading a sequel.

16 year old Allora is the princess of Sonora, saved as a baby by her aunt when a power hungry general and his followers wrested power from and killed Allora's parents. She is raised in a small American town where she thinks that her aunt is her mother and a small group of faithful Sonorans hold key positions in the town. Allora does not know who she is and what powers she has. All she is told that she has to train to be ready for the time she comes of age. Together with 3 other Sonoran teenagers she attends the Sandy High School and every day they have to go through a portal to an alternate plane to train. There is an enormous talking Sasquatch who is one of her guardians. The general finds out where Allora is and sends a series of assassins to off Allora.
I feel that for a book obviously aimed at teens it has been written in an incredibly irresponsible and unbelievable manner. For example, Allora is involved in several fist fights with other girls with little or no consequences. On several occasions the teens lie to their "parents" to attend several parties organised by human friends and the end with attacks from paranormal assassins from which there is no fallout among the humans and little or no consequences from their parents. The enormous Sasquatch lives in a cave close to the town and no humans seem to be aware of him? The parents of these teens have not told them what and who they are and their disobedience and lies goes unpunished time and again. A undercover Sonoran teacher encourages Allora and her friends to go on a hunt for The Eye of the Titans and to lie to their parents about where they are going. Besides all this, with many typos and paragraphs out of place it felt more as if I was reading a WIP than a completed manuscript.I did not enjoy this book and completed it because I had made a commitment and I would not recommend it to any teenager in my life. As such I rate it one star.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Promising Start... 1 May 2017

It feels like it has been a while for me to get a book with some Greek Myth as part of the story/backstory so knowing me you would know that I was super happy to dive deep into Sonora and the Eye of the Titans!

I pretty much read and finished the book in one go, and I felt like it was really a fast read, though it was slower paced than expected it did move along quite nicely and we get some good action sequences that make it really entertaining.

As this is the first book of a series, there is a lot to take in and a lot we still need to discover, but Sonora and the Eye of the Titans sets everything up nicely and I am already in the "I need to know what happens next" mode. Mind some might say when it comes to books or movies it is my usual modus operandi!

I really liked our 4 main characters Allora, Katie, Dax, and Tanner as well as the secondary ones in the form of the adults. A part of me wanted to kick Allora and Tanner's asses in gear, I mean really but I guess that opens up the story into more interesting moments between the two.

As usual, I am not going to share too much of the plot because I want you to read the book; and where would the fun be if I made it all easy for you all.

I think the story line is really interesting and original as I tend to love any sort of twists to my beloved old myths and this baby right here fits the bill. I am going to highly recommend it and pray that the next book in the series is available soon as I am an impatient one!

I am keeping my eyes out for this series and for anything that Travis will come up with. I have the feeling that this is his first book (not sure though) and there is a lot of room to grow from here, the series has wonderful potential and what matters is what happens next.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Oh My Freaking GODS! Dam what a book. Ok guys this
book is not my normal read. This is a YA book. And it was
truly awesome. It is skillfully crafted and so well written. He
just made you stop and think "wow never thought of that"

This book is about Allora the rightful queen of Tianis. But an
evil man killed her father and he mother lost her life
protecting Allora. But Allora has no clue who she really is.
She and her friends know their different, but not the rest.
I love the small explanations through the book. Like about
the Greek Gods and how they became them. Lol that one
made me stop and think dam that explains a lot. And oh my
do I hate the bad person in this books name. I was like really
did it have to be that. Oh and when you figure it out you will
be so proud of Allora. And how she handles the evil.. And my
favorite has got to be Sas he’s a hoarder that is for sure but
man he loves these kids if they where his own. And I love
how he is there one minute and gone the next, but always
protecting them. I am so ready for book two.

.Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you
enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book,
please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it
when you do; they value your opinions too
