InterrestingReviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 November 2019
I didn't like this book as much as the other Linda Howard novels. It was exciting in parts but it took a while to get started. The time travel element was contrived(of course it was). The character of Nial was more like a cardboard cut out. Not the best of her novels read one of the modern ones instead.
Wow!!!!Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 December 2013
I loved this book, Grace and Niall was stunning together when they at last met! Grace's husband and brother was murdered by her boss, he wanted the treasure he thought Grace had uncovered when she was translating old manuscripts. In doing so, she had dreams, very graphic dreams, of herself and Niall (so did he)! She had to travel back in time to meet up with Black Niall to try and track down the "treasure" he was the Guardian of! Anyway, do buy the book if you are a fan of Linda Howard, I only hope that she writes more time travel romances!
As gripping as Dream ManReviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 June 2012
I loved this. The journey the female lead takes has you feeling quite ill at ease for most of it (in a good way.. Linda Howard's obviously doing her job!). And without giving too much away.. it comes together in the end. Although I was a little narked at how the male lead kept leaving the female, most of the time without a backwards glance. But then.. he had many other more.. er.. pleasing attributes. If I could give a critism it would be that they weren't together long enough. You were left wanting a bit more. Bur still... I'd recommend it. It's one of her more stand out original books for sure. You won't regret reading it. I've certainly re-read it a few times!
Romance is not dead
DisappointedReviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 February 2016
80% through the book before we actually met the hero! I love Linda Howard and this book was very easy to read but it really was lacking that magic spark. Don't let me put u off nice book to read, but not up to her usual standard!
