Product Description

Have you ever loved someone who was emotionally unavailable? What lengths would you expect him to go to in order to change?

When Marc d’Alessio first rescued the curvaceous and spirited Italian Angelina Giardano at the Masters at Arms Club, he never expected her to turn his safe, controlled life upside down and pull at his long-broken heartstrings. Months later, the intense fire of their attraction still rages, but something holds him back from committing to her completely. Worse, secrets and memories from his past join forces to further complicate his relationships with family, friends, and his beautiful angel.

Angelina cannot give all of herself to someone who hides himself from her. She loves Marc, the BDSM world he brought her into, and the way their bodies respond to one another, but she needs more. Though she destroyed the wolf mask he once wore, only he can remove the mask he dons daily to hide his emotions. In a desperate attempt to break through his defenses and reclaim her connection to the man she loves, she attempts a full frontal assault that sends him into a fast retreat, leaving her nobody’s angel once again.

Marc finds that running to the mountains no longer gives him solace but instead leaves him empty and alone. Angelina is the one woman worth the risk of opening his heart. Will he risk everything to become the man she deserves and the man he wants to be?

ABOUT THE RESCUE ME SAGA: The books in the ongoing Rescue Me Saga are not stand-alone stories and should be read in order. Characters will recur in later books to deal with further issues in their lives as the saga continues and each book builds upon all previous ones. Sometimes main characters even need another book to help resolve major issues affecting their relationships.

BONUS MATERIAL in this version: Kallypso Masters has added the PLAYLIST of music that inspired her as she wrote about the first three couples mentioned in this combined volume, as well as a GLOSSARY OF TERMS and a CAST OF CHARACTERS in these books in the saga.

CONTENT WARNING: Intended for mature adult readers not offended by profanity and graphic (but never gratuitous!) sex scenes. Due to the emotional way in which the author presents the subject matter (past and present), the books might cause triggers while reading. Please read the Author's Notes at the beginnings of each book before reading further.

After waiting so long for this book I couldn't wait to get to the HEA of Marc and Angelina. I'm really sorry to say I was a little let down with this book.

So far this series has been one of my favourites and I had been keeping track on the progress of this instalment.

I can't really put my finger on why but I just couldn't connect with Marc and Angelina like I did in Nobody's Angel. Towards the end (without any spoilers) I started to connect a bit more but then it ended. Maybe I felt this way because the male was the one needing help I'm not sure

I still highly recommend the series (you must read in order though) and I look forward to Luke and Cassie's story.

Somebody's Angel is book 5 in the Masters at Arms series. I enjoyed this series and was really looking forward to this and was excited when I started and there were 488 pages - I thought I'd found something to sink my teeth into. I enjoyed being back with all the characters and we don't just get Marc and Angelina's point of view. We spend time with all of the characters we've met so far which was good. However the main story of Marc and Angelina was long, drawn out and didn't pull me in.

Marc and Angelina are having troubles because Marc won't trust her and she himself with her on an emotional level. It was a little interesting, enough that I kept reading to the end to find out what was going to happen but it was repetitive, sappy and I didn't connect with this book on an emotional level at all. No tears were shed (I'm a huge crier with books) - Facebook hype before the book promised many tears. I'm not sure what was missing for me with this instalment but all I really cared about what finding out what was happening with Luke and Cassie - who will be the subject of the next book in the series. If you've read the rest of the series I would recommend this book to find out what everyone is up to but it was not as good as the others in the series. On the plus side you do get a lot of book and story for your money.

Before I start I've gotta say I'm a huge fan if this series. Kallypso Masters does an incredible job with these characters & story lines. It's hard not to become a huge fan.
I fell in love with Marc & Angelina in their first book & was so interested to see where their story would go. I felt like Somebody's Angel was slightly different from the others in the series (well to me anyway). It still has the kink aspect but is so much more than the BDSM lifestyle they live.
This is about Marc battling his demons & his past to find his place in the world, & bit is it a battle. It's long & painful.
One if the things I like most about this series is the crossover of story lines & events happening in other books in the series & getting chapters written by other characters. I love catching up with Adam, Luke & Damian (especially Damian) & getting to see more of their lives.
It was a long & at times tough read but I loved it. I can't wait to hear Luke's story

I read the first three books in this series a while ago and felt a little over them after the third. I have had a few months reading other books and then picked this one up. I am really glad I did and the break made a huge difference. I enjoyed this one and I had no difficulty recalling the characters or what had happened to them. The story rolled along at a good pace and held my attention (the wedding scene at the end was a little long and detailed) even though it was long. I would definitely read the next one!!
