To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
There is not much substance in this book. It does not go through how to perform common tasks needed in setting up a Project from scratch and how to do things like important libraries, setup header and linked files to link to files in your project, create copies of a project without losing links, how to create a Make file from scratch and use it. Etc.
While I would suspect that the authors have a lot of experience working with this IDE, they are absolutely unable to convey the knowledge at all. The book consists of screenshot after screenshot, consuming a large amount of the volume of this text. A topic is mentioned in one section, only to be exhaustively pointing out to the reader to review the topic in another section.
While the authors may not be native English speakers, the language is difficult to follow, as many grammatical and case conflicts muddle the discussion.

I can not recommend this text lowly enough...
