I can not recommend this book enough. I've been so fearful of flying that every vacation I would take would start with weeks of obsessive worrying. Flights were almost intolerable with me dancing in my seat out of anxiety and fear - my poor amazing wife!
After reading this book, only in part, and taking a flight two days later, I was able to easily apply the knowledge and techniques I had learnt to be able to fly comfortably - no worry, no dancing. I was still not super happy, but I was capable and totally under control.
What's more - this book goes into great detail about how anxiety works, and how our brains can either shut down our own anxiety, or contribute to making it worse. Learning this and applying the principles in this book have changed my whole life.
You owe it to yourself to read this book if you have any level of anxiety - even if you don't mind flying. It's powerful, well written, easy to understand, and key for understanding oneself.
