Book One in the Adam Cartwright Trilogy
Adam Cartwright, a 28 year old construction engineer, encounters contract fraud by organized crime while engaged on the construction of a gold mine in Far North Queensland. His life is further complicated when he narrowly survives two attempts on his life. Trying to discover a reason for the attacks he becomes aware that criminals responsible for the robbery of a gold mine, and the murder of three workers, believe that he possesses a key piece of evidence that could bring them undone. In order to survive he has to discover what the ‘smoking gun’ is and how it can be used to bring the criminals to justice, and thus ensure his safety.
About the Author
Dennis Debney is a former Chartered Professional Engineer and Certified Practising Accountant who has retired to find time to pursue his first love, writing. After graduating in civil engineering in the 1960s he was initially engaged in engineering design and construction in New Zealand and Australia. Subsequent accountancy studies and qualification as a CPA led to project management roles covering technical, commercial and financial aspects. In the Adam Cartwright Trilogy readers may wonder just where truth ends and fiction begins. Like many storytellers Dennis has been inspired by his real life experiences and has included actual situations and events in his stories.
