Achingly Beautiful and Haunting! A Must Read for Fans of Mystery and the Supernatural!

This novel portrays the deeper and more horrific consequences of having a paranormal ability, and the sacrifices one has to make to save lives. Charlotte is an oracle who can see the future. She has always been told that she has to fight her visions and let things happen as they are meant to happen without interfering. Unfortunately, her visions become stronger and more uncontrollable, and she foresees the murders of several of her classmates. Should she try to change the future or should she do as she is told and let the future come to pass as it is meant to happen?

I loved this novel! Definitely more edgy and horrific compared to other teen fiction, and I felt it contained so much emotion and depth as to warrant it a read for a truly mature audience. I was heartbroken as well as depressed after finishing this read, but my tears were worth it so I could gain a whole new perspective on the evils of human crime, the aftereffects of losing a loved one, and the realization of coming to terms with this grievous act of violence.

Aprilynne Pike did a wonderful job writing this book, and she deserves accolades for her honesty and her uninhibited portrayal of crime in all its misery, hopelessness, and viciousness. I look forward to reading more from this amazing writer, and I thank her for taking on this project! It has changed me and made me a better person!
