Skystorm, Ryan Decker 4 from Steven Konkoly.... Brilliant !!
After covert investigators Ryan Decker and Harlow Mackenzie demolished APEX, a billion-dollar criminal enterprise, a tenuous truce between the two factions suggested the battle was over. But not for Decker’s director, Senator Margaret Steele. She’s uncovered an even deadlier operation—code name Skystorm.
Skystorm violates every international arms-trafficking law imaginable. And for the senator, exposing the plot may be a gamble too far. APEX has caught wind of the investigation, and they’ve gone on the offensive. Steele’s warning to Decker and Harlow: we’re all in a no-holds-barred fight for our lives.
With APEX’s scorched-earth tactics now unmistakable, Decker and Harlow pull the trigger on their worst-case-scenario plan and move to turn the tables on their ruthless adversary. With a shadowy mercenary team, Decker and Harlow embark for a war—one that Skystorm’s influential DC backers have no intention of losing. To safeguard their treasonous secret, they aim to bury it, along with Decker and everyone he loves.
A full out battle for Decker and his team and Senator Steele's new team, lead by Rich. Apex are out for blood and on the full attack determined to stop Steele for once and for ever.
Action packed from start to finish, full of shocks and surprises, twists that brings a smile to your face, filled with great characters, great nasty villains and a massive high five for the strong and powerful leading personalities in these four great books. A great series and highly recommended.
Get on the rollercoaster and start this series. Five stars.
Decker is fantastic company and there is plenty of dry wit and graveyard humour to soften the edges of what is at times a veritable bloodbath.
There are no shortage of books in this sort of military slash black ops slash government conspiracy arena. The challenge is picking a winner. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series and wholeheartedly recommend it.
If this does prove to be the last we see of Decker, he has left on a high.
The author took time to complete the story, with no loose ends but without the need to kill everyone off to do it. It may have been a little happy ever after, but given how the whole story from book 1 to this had been written and the characters developed, it all seemed appropriate
Would have been interesting to see Ryan & Rich meet up, but there was no reason for them to
This has a spectacular ending which I really couldn't stop reading into the early morning hours. I look forward to seeing what he writes next.
The previous three books were very good, but this, the fourth in the series, is in another league.
Action packed from the first chapter to the last, I love all the characters, they all lend a hand in creating this brilliant series.
Please hurry up and write the next in series
