Just purchased this for my four year old who will start preschool in September. While I can’t exactly give an accurate review on durability I wanted to answer some questions that I had before ordering.
The matching lunchbox does fit inside with a little room for maybe a pencil pouch or extra set of clothes but not much else (you can see how big it is next to the bookbag in the first picture).
It does NOT fit a standard size folder (you can see the pink sparkly folder sticking up out of the bookbag in the first picture).
It will fit a kids Nalgene water bottle or the stainless steel Thermos one (see third picture) but it does make it lean heavily to that side.
I wouldn’t recommend this for a kindergartner because they usually need to take folders back and forth and I do worry about folding up my preschooler’s work inside this but it’s cute and shaped like a unicorn and it was a fair price. Perfect for a preschooler or maybe a kid taking clothes to daycare so I give it four stars. I’m just a little disappointed that it won’t fit a standard size folder without bending it a ridiculous amount.
The backpack where fun meets function.
