They look athletic, but classy. My feet hurt before I put them on and they're already helping.
Also, they slope a bit inwardly. It might be better than the way I stand in the flats I normally use.
Update: I had to lower from 4 to 2 stars. :( Guys, I think I have to send these back. After wearing for just one day, my knees and hips hurt. I wore other shoes for a few days until I was out of pain, then wore them one more time and the pain came back. My feet are incredibly comfortable, but something about them sloping inward really did a number on me.
I do have joint prone to pain, but shoes alone have never caused it before. I'm sure my experience is rare, since it has so many other great reviews. I wish I loved them as much as everyone else.
they would have been perfect for light hiking which is what I intended, as well as using them generally, EXCEPT for one thing:
The backs are so hard edged that I get terrible blisters whenever I wear them. I've tried moleskin in the backs, and wearing lots of bandaids, but my ankles are always sore whenever I give them a try for day. This might not be an issue if wearing socks, but I wanted these for situations that are too hot for socks. The low front only works if you wear them without socks. I thought that repeated wearings would get better, but it hasn't been the case. I really wish I could solve this, because I do love the look and general set up but can't have permanent blisters!
