Product description

Product Description

Kat Parker was looking forward to a nice normal night out with her boyfriend—though nothing is truly normal when you can see and talk with the dead. However, when Damian arrives with news that his estranged father has been killed, date night quickly turns into a trip to Vegas, the supernatural capital of the world. Whoever said romance was dead?

As a former detective for the Vegas Police Department, Damian is well aware of his father’s shady business dealings, but he’s still surprised when he’s confronted by an unstable squid-faced creature demanding he deliver on his father’s final deal.

With time running short and the creature’s patience running even shorter, Kat must help to figure out who killed Damian’s father and how to deliver on his final debt. Otherwise, Kat may have more to worry about than playing middleman to a postmortem family reconciliation or figuring out if her pet turtle has a gambling problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Snappy the turtle is back and living large in Vegas! 20 June 2016
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
In Book Six, Sins of the Father, Snappy the turtle is back and living large in Vegas. Snappy might have a gambling problem. There are vampires, werewovles, giants, wizards, and other supernatural beings in this Vegas. Kat is back in town with boyfriend Damien to help him deal with the murder of his estranged father. Best friend Helen and Kat's vampire roommate, Jonny, show up uninvited. The royal Cthulhu family appear complete with uniquely "armed" bodyguards. They want Damien to find the missing royal sceptor that was left in the care of his father. He has a limited amount of time to get it back to them or he will be punished. He and Kat are in a race to keep other Cthulu factions from finding it first. The fair is back in town. Laugh out loud fun, intrigue, a few tears, and enough twists and turns for a roller coaster. K.L. Phelps is a master storyteller with a unique imagination and a wicked sense of humor. He seamlessly incorporates the paranormal world into Vegas. If you haven't read the first book in this series, Mind if I Come In, then please do so.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent paranormal series 20 July 2016
By Lynne - Published on Amazon.com

I have read all 6 books of this series and I did not want to put the book down for the night, staying up until four am or later. The series has a paranormal wizard/witchcraft tone and a background of mystery and in most of the books a new mystery to solve. These books are addictive you have to read them in order to see how things progressed. I was reading one every night and now I feel at a loss without any upcoming Kat Parker mysteries by K.L. Phelps to look forward to. I laughed, I giggled I enjoyed each one.

I noticed in this book Kat is stronger and more determined. Love that she's definitely decided that she belongs with Damien. And I love that she's not being as ditzy as before!
5.0 out of 5 stars Vegas Here They Come! 8 May 2016

K.L. Phelps gives us another great adventure in the Kat Parker series! This time the group has returned to Vegas to help Kat's BF Damian deal with the death of his estranged father. While Kat learns about Damian's history she has to deal with the ghost of Damian's father, creepy tentacled Cthulhu creatures, & even comatose billionaire Dickson Daniels appears. The story is cleverly plotted with hilarious moments interwoven with intrigue while also tugging at the heart strings. Even Snappy & Norman get into the fun with Snappy's gambling addiction. It is a zany over-the-top adventure!

I can't wait for the next Kat Parker book. I've read them all, once I finished the first one, I had to move right on to the next one and so on.

If you like a good mystery filled with laugh out loud moments, a protective wiseass, a forgetful, constantly hungry heroine and some goofy characters, including a turtle, this is definitely the series for you.
