Must read book 1&2 first. All of Jase’s lies unravel in the start of this and I had been wondering how Bethany would deal with it. While she does confront Jase and completely breaks apart herself, she comes to find she really does love him and doesn’t have anybody else, so while she tells him that ‘they’re not okay’ she allows him to hold her to gain her trust back. My biggest disappointment is that they’re still no closer to getting Marcus! But I have to remind myself that this is the main storyline across this series and I have to be patient. Can not wait for more.
We have come to the end of this series and I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster. My feelings were all over the place. Willow Winters did a wonderful job with this story and invoking emotions from her readers. Firstly, the first few pages were squeezing my heart. I truly felt for Bethany. But then I was getting annoyed with Jase. In the beginning, it felt like he was only saying things to control Bethany for his own betterment. So when Bethany said no to him, I immediately began to cheer. A part of me felt that she was still a little bit naïve in her thinking about Jase. I wondered how she could stay with a man whose whole life was centred on keeping secrets. While he maintained it was all for Bethany, he only told her the truth in order to keep her from running. I disagreed with Bethany’s choice but I understood her reasoning. I do wish she took more time to actively step back away from him and think about what she wanted and how his actions made her feel. The deeper I fell into the story, further truths were revealed and boy did it polarise me. I wanted to slap Jase!
I loved Bethany’s reaction and felt it justified. It felt as though Jase used truth to keep her bound to him when he felt her slipping away from him. I wasn’t sure that Jase could come back from this in my eyes. However, my feelings changed the more I read and Jase did manage to redeem himself. I think the means he chose to execute his end was not the best but perhaps his life had not provided him with another alternative.
The relationship between Bethany and Jase is still combustive and one intimate moment is perhaps what tipped the balance in Jase’s favour and helped me change my thoughts on him. His words: “Trust works both ways.” That moment showed me he recognised his mistake and could change. My anger slowly dissipated and then by the end of the story, I was almost in tears. There are still more questions swirling around and I know there is more in store for this family and friends especially for one character in particular. The ending left an impact and definitely leaves you wanting more. This world that Willow Winters created is deep, intense and includes some heart wrenching quotes that touch your heart and soul.
The third and final book concluding Jase and Bethany is here❣️I have to admit I had to go back and read the end of book two again as I just couldn’t remember how it ended. Once I did that it all came rushing back to me quickly.
Bethany is still searching for answers regarding her sister and Jase and Seth are the people looking into this for her. Tumultuous times ahead and some interesting surprises I wasn’t expecting. The final chapter though got me excited for what’s to come😍
Thank you Willow for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review😁
The epic ending to this fantastic trilogy is finally here! I loved this book. I loved Bethany's strong character, the fact that she didn't let anyone walk all over her, Jase inclued. Jase's heart is so huge and I just love him as well. The twists, the turns!
Ms Winters knows how to write a story that will have you hooked and on the edge of your seat, I really enjoyed this book because of that. I can't wait until the next book from this world comes out because I will be first in line to snatch it up!
