Reading Sinful Seductions is like taking a Road Trip where the car is cruising down the road, wind streaming through the windows, sun shining bright overhead, and then the author decided to slam the breaks forcing the reader to return home.
In other words, the story was moving along fine until the author decided to add unnecessary plot twists and a surprise ending that totally ruins the book. It makes this story come across as shallow when it had the potential to be an emotional exploration of two people desperately needing one another. Skylar and Alessandro have a history that the author never feels the need to let the reader in on. They instantly love one another without any exploration of how they got to this place. A simple prologue or brief flash back would have sufficed.
Sometimes, there is no need for convoluted plots where the author tries way to hard to be original and engaging. Sometimes a simple story works best. This would have gotten a better rating if not for the soap opera type ending.
