Do you ever find yourself doing a 'bingeread' on a series you have fallen in love with? That is exactly what I did with four of Laura Child's A Tea Shop Mystery series after leaving it for a while Starting with The Silver Needle Murder(#9 in this series).
Truly I missed Charleston, SC one of my favorite cities of all time and I missed Theodosia, Drayton and Haley the aspiring a delightful baker at Indigo Tea and the adventures or misadventures they find themselves in. Somehow where the Three Amigos are 'trouble' follows and envelopes this trio in a variety of whodunits as well as learning so much about tea blends, etc. Then of course there is the constant conflicted curmudgeon of a Dectective, Burt Tidwell, and Director/Benfactor of the Heritage Society Timothy Neville a dear friend of Drayton, the Master Tea Blender.
Who murdered famous director Jordan Cole? What direction is Theodosia's love life taking? Does Timothy's grandaughter who worked with Cole have anything to do with his untimely demise? All of these questions continue to be woven together until one knot at a time, they are unraveled, at potentially great risk to Theodosia until the answers reveal themselves in due course. So if you are looking for a real comforting treat, sit back with a nice cuppa tea, a scone and enjoy the journey.
