Product Description

The murder of a shared friend leads a high-profile investigator and a psychic into a mystery involving lies, blackmail, BDSM—and into each other’s arms.

From Charing Cross to Waterloo, there’s no escaping love.

28-year-old Draven Samuels has a tragic past, but as an investigator with a high-profile London company he now gets what he wants. Tough, sarcastic, and sceptical, he has no patience for lies and even less for people who waste his time. Even if they’re as beautiful as the wild and dark-haired Taylor Abelard. Especially when they’re talking over the body of a murder victim.

Psychic Taylor Abelard is used to people calling him a freak. He can see past events and feel the ghostly vibrations of people close to him who’ve passed on. It’s why he doesn’t get too close to the living. But this time, against his better judgment, despite Draven’s mocking rejoinders, Taylor will get closer than ever before. The mystery of a dead friend will lead the two men down a dark and seedy trail of blackmail and lies. Add in the heartbreak of a family tragedy, and events lead them straight into each other’s arms. By the end of this night, all their demons will have risen—and been banished with the dawn.

A Fantastic Book.. I'm totally addicted to the Men of London series. I was looking forward to reading this one since it was a psychic story with Taylor as a main character. Taylor is a psychic who sees things happen. A sighting he sees someone is taking his his, he discovers weeks later his identity and is shocked to know who it was.
Draven (I love that name) is a skeptic of psychics but he has seen what Taylor can do from a past case. They meet again at Galileo's restaurant which didn't go well. Draven has lost his parents in a car accident but his brother survived ending up on life support.. A great story which I couldn't put down. This story has all the emotions and you'll defiantly need tissues. A Highly Recommended Book.

5 Hearts Reviewed by Cat

Grab a couple boxes of tissue this one is a sad one. Sight and sinners covers a couple very serious topics. One: Draven is an undercover agent and seen a lot. He has a tough exterior and is hard to get to know. He also likes to fool around and his high libido gets him in a lot of trouble. He also has a family secret that haunts him.

Two: Taylor is a physic but his ability is only linked to people close to him making it worse. When he feels that someone is going to die or get hurt he knows it is someone he is connected to.

At first Draven doesn’t believe in Taylor’s talents but soon he sees firsthand what Taylor can do, but when he finds out Taylor has the answer to a very serious decision he has to make he has trouble dealing with it. Will he take Taylor’s Message seriously or will it destroy anything between them.

There is a lot of lies, deceit and secrets in this story as well as angst. One thing I like so much about Susan Mac Nichols is that her stories deal with very real issues that can happen to anyone, then are spun into a very strong, powerful story. This story deals with family tragedy, harsh decisions and suicide. She mixes it with sexy men, very hot sex and some mystery and intrigue to take the edge off. Every time I read a new name I couldn’t help but wonder is this the next book?

If you like spies, angst, tearjerkers, not so easy relationships, psychics, fun characters, and very hot man-sex this is for you.

I received an ARC of this very FANTASTIC read from the author. In exchange for an honest review. This is mousieys very honest opinion of this very unique book. Once I started reading the story of Taylor Abelard ( who has physic powers z) and Draven Samuels ( who works as an investigator with a high-profile company. See Tay as he is called by his friends an lovers; can see things. He all of sudden gets these images that come into his mind- poor Taylor has no control over them. He starts seeing these images of a lot of blood and someone being on danger. Doesn't know who it is-just that it is someone he is close to or someone that whoever is close to him knows. The next day he has a horrible day at work- on top of that Tay gets horrible news, His best friend Drew committed suicide. He had know Drew personally- they had been lovers even though he was married and children.
Now Draven comes to the funeral and Taylor thinks that he is following him. One thing leads to another - the next thing you know they hook up. Yes you read right!! See both men are gay. A few weeks down the road and Draven who really never believed in Taylor's abilities comes to him and ask for his help. He needs him to help solve Drew's death. He believes that Drew was being blackmailed about him having sex with men.
This is where it really gets good!! Who killed Drew?? What will happen to Taylor and Draven?? For these answers and more you need to read the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another brilliant story from a fantastic storyteller! 20 March 2015

My Rating: 5 of 5 Stars

One phenomena that still boggles my mind is the ability to see into somewhere and somewhen without benefit of technology. We call it the 'sixth sense' while others simply call it quackery. Well, there are undisclosed, undefined and inexplicable phenomena that happen every day and Taylor Abelard lives with it. You see, he is a psychic and he sees the ghosts of people he knew who had died. Most times he sees the possibility of a future event that may not be good to those he may not know but are friends with those who are close to him. It is a difficult life and holding such a talent is not really seen as sane or normal. As a homosexual man, he already has enough problems with how society sees and defines him. He does not need to feed them fuel to light him to flames.

Draven's life is not something we would like to experience but he lives it every day. He tries to make the right decisions through educated logic and reasoning but his feelings get in the way. He sees life as a series of dos, don'ts and resulting complications. When he meets Taylor for the first time, it involved the murder of a young child. Being paired with a so-called psychic did not help matters and so, the encounter was memorable, but not in a good way. Now, they are together once more and difficult as it may be to accept, Draven has to work with Taylor.

Taylor and Draven try hard to work together but it's very difficult, and that is saying it mildly. There is dislike, there is contempt, there is speculation bordering on the ridiculed and all that nasty stuff. Fortunately, the tides turn in their favor but it is not filled with sunshine and roses either. There are some really tragic things going on around here and somehow, through all the misundersandings and hard feelings, Draven sees the real Taylor and vice versa. When Taylor realizes that his dreams are no longer just limited to the case they are trying to unravel, Draven is caught between his developing deep feelings for Taylor and his guilt. Will they find the means to meet halfway, or will they need the interference of Leslie and Eddie? Will their involvement even help?

This is another brilliant story from a fantastic storyteller who just does not know how to stop telling stories. This is the second part of The Men of London Series and should really be read in order to be appreciated, although both books are stand-alones. We met Taylor for the first time in Love You Senseless as well as Leslie, two best friends and roommates of Eddie. Draven has to figure out a way to get through the walls that are Eddie and Leslie. He will have to learn that to get to Taylor's heart and be complete, he has to show these two that yes, he is there for the long haul and that he is accepting of Taylor's talent. He has a long way to go and that is an adventure that should not be missed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent series, Men of London delivers 9 March 2015

Susan Mac Nicol continues with her run of bringing together men whose pasts and current lives don’t make for easy liaisons.

We first met Taylor Abelard in Love You Senseless where his dubious gift of “sight” makes him susceptible to blackouts and terrifying emotional drains on his energy and even his sanity. Taylor is the real deal, something hard-headed and opinionated Draven Samuels, an investigator with a prestigious London firm, has little time or patience for.

Draven is no stranger to tragedy. The loss of his parents and the continuing heartbreak over his younger brother’s situation punctures the hard shell he wears into the soft underbelly of vulnerability. Draven sees no need to anchor himself with a relationship, but there’s something about the dark-haired, mocha-skinned Taylor that puts paid to him distancing himself from the allure of the strange young man.

Taylor and Draven cross paths again when a mutual friend seemingly commits suicide, though the reasons behind the terrible circumstances don’t seem to add up. Dravon is slow to accept the evidence of Taylor’s gift but once he does, it opens the door for them to realize how much they need each other.

The road to resolution of the mystery of the friend’s death, and the heart-wrenching decision that Dravon must make about his brother, creates waves of conflict and despair. It’s never a given that these two men could ever resolve their differences. Their hardships are real, their emotional turmoil devastating.

These are two characters you grow to love, aching when they make foolish mistakes, and praying they will listen to the advice of friends and see past hurt and words said in anger and fear. The minor characters from Love You Senseless play a central role in the drama that Dravon and Tay create without meaning to.

Great characters, a mystery, personal tragedies and a tortured path to final acceptance makes for yet another fantastic tale from an author who is on my auto-buy list. Five stars.
4.0 out of 5 stars Taylor has the sight, while Draven is the sinner. 8 June 2015

Private Investigator Draven Samuels doesn't do the relationship thing. No, he's more of the wham, bam, thank you man kind of guy. He puts all his heart into his job and his brother who lies in a coma. It's made him hard and edgy. The last thing Draven wants is a man to have to worry about, those pesky feelings and that horrid word commitment. All that changes when he meets Taylor.

Taylor Abelard has spent his life in a bad dream on repeat. As a psychic he has visions that usually involve someone close to him getting hurt, sometimes even killed. The visions plague his every waking moment almost, even haunting his dreams. When one of his visions brings him face to face with the brash PI he worked with several years ago, the animosity between them is on full display. But underneath Taylor's anger and frustration, and Draven's inablity to believe in Taylor's ability, there is a white hot attraction that keeps drawing them to each other.

Both men will have to open up and allow another person into their heart, into their lives, they will have to learn to trust in one another which is damn near impossible. Both are stubborn, ill tempered, have a hair trigger and a sort of alpha male personality. They are both also passionate, tender, loving and insanely attracted to each other. The question is, can they find a balance where they can be happy without drawing blood or blowing the house up?

I loved the push and pull between the characters, their relationship bordering on volatile most of the time. I swear sometimes they fought just so they could have make up sex! Their personalities clashed a lot so it was interesting watching them grow and find a balance, learn how to communicate and trust in one another. At the start, I didn't much care for Draven, but by the end he had won me over but it took some serious groveling. Taylor though, I adored him from the start. He was this long, lean, larger than life bundle of pent up energy. Once he let's go of some of his pain and really, truly let's Draven in, it was amazing.

A couple hiccups along the way. I think the boundary was blurred between likable and hated Draven. He was dangerously close to me absolutely loathing him by the end. Maybe that could have been reigned in a bit. I wanted hangry sex! I'm talking hateful, angry, bed breaking, Taylor was walking crooked for a week, hangry sex. It was hinted at, but didn't quite get to that point. Overall though I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Fast paced, a lot of ups and downs, some suspense and a couple of passionate men that finally figure out they love each other just a tad bit more than they love to fight.

I received a copy of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars grab the tissues...lots of them! 22 March 2015

Format: Kindle Edition about gut had me sobbing a couple of times. even if you don't like paranormal books, you have to read this book!

oh taylor...the things he has to endure and the physical effects of them. your heart just breaks for him that he has to endure all that pain. he's a bit snarky at times. he's very strong but i think a couple times he forgave draven a bit sooner than i would have liked.

draven was a right b@stard when we first meet him. even though there was an initial attraction between the two, i'm not sure how they got past his attitude!! we find out it's because he's hurting, badly. fortunately for him, taylor was able to look past that and see what a truly wonderful man he could be. the scene near the end at the hospital solidifies what a big heart he has once you get past the tough armor.

leslie was great again! and we got a bit of eddie and gideon which was nice. i'm thinking we need more about clay though!

Excellent sequel in the series. I loved Draven and Taylor from the start. Great storyline, the chemistry between these two was electric. Funny and snarky, Draven is gruff and hard around the edges. Taylor is sensitive with a gift that sometimes does him more harm than good. Its not an easy road to love for these two, but oh so worth it at the end!
