Product Description

The murder of a shared friend leads a high-profile investigator and a psychic into a mystery involving lies, blackmail, BDSM—and into each other’s arms.

From Charing Cross to Waterloo, there’s no escaping love.

28-year-old Draven Samuels has a tragic past, but as an investigator with a high-profile London company he now gets what he wants. Tough, sarcastic, and sceptical, he has no patience for lies and even less for people who waste his time. Even if they’re as beautiful as the wild and dark-haired Taylor Abelard. Especially when they’re talking over the body of a murder victim.

Psychic Taylor Abelard is used to people calling him a freak. He can see past events and feel the ghostly vibrations of people close to him who’ve passed on. It’s why he doesn’t get too close to the living. But this time, against his better judgment, despite Draven’s mocking rejoinders, Taylor will get closer than ever before. The mystery of a dead friend will lead the two men down a dark and seedy trail of blackmail and lies. Add in the heartbreak of a family tragedy, and events lead them straight into each other’s arms. By the end of this night, all their demons will have risen—and been banished with the dawn.

A Fantastic Book.. I'm totally addicted to the Men of London series. I was looking forward to reading this one since it was a psychic story with Taylor as a main character. Taylor is a psychic who sees things happen. A sighting he sees someone is taking his his, he discovers weeks later his identity and is shocked to know who it was.
Draven (I love that name) is a skeptic of psychics but he has seen what Taylor can do from a past case. They meet again at Galileo's restaurant which didn't go well. Draven has lost his parents in a car accident but his brother survived ending up on life support.. A great story which I couldn't put down. This story has all the emotions and you'll defiantly need tissues. A Highly Recommended Book.

Grab a couple boxes of tissue this one is a sad one. Sight and sinners covers a couple very serious topics. One: Draven is an undercover agent and seen a lot. He has a tough exterior and is hard to get to know. He also likes to fool around and his high libido gets him in a lot of trouble. He also has a family secret that haunts him.

Two: Taylor is a physic but his ability is only linked to people close to him making it worse. When he feels that someone is going to die or get hurt he knows it is someone he is connected to.

At first Draven doesn’t believe in Taylor’s talents but soon he sees firsthand what Taylor can do, but when he finds out Taylor has the answer to a very serious decision he has to make he has trouble dealing with it. Will he take Taylor’s Message seriously or will it destroy anything between them.

There is a lot of lies, deceit and secrets in this story as well as angst. One thing I like so much about Susan Mac Nichols is that her stories deal with very real issues that can happen to anyone, then are spun into a very strong, powerful story. This story deals with family tragedy, harsh decisions and suicide. She mixes it with sexy men, very hot sex and some mystery and intrigue to take the edge off. Every time I read a new name I couldn’t help but wonder is this the next book?

If you like spies, angst, tearjerkers, not so easy relationships, psychics, fun characters, and very hot man-sex this is for you.

I received an ARC of this very FANTASTIC read from the author. In exchange for an honest review. This is mousieys very honest opinion of this very unique book. Once I started reading the story of Taylor Abelard ( who has physic powers z) and Draven Samuels ( who works as an investigator with a high-profile company. See Tay as he is called by his friends an lovers; can see things. He all of sudden gets these images that come into his mind- poor Taylor has no control over them. He starts seeing these images of a lot of blood and someone being on danger. Doesn't know who it is-just that it is someone he is close to or someone that whoever is close to him knows. The next day he has a horrible day at work- on top of that Tay gets horrible news, His best friend Drew committed suicide. He had know Drew personally- they had been lovers even though he was married and children.
Now Draven comes to the funeral and Taylor thinks that he is following him. One thing leads to another - the next thing you know they hook up. Yes you read right!! See both men are gay. A few weeks down the road and Draven who really never believed in Taylor's abilities comes to him and ask for his help. He needs him to help solve Drew's death. He believes that Drew was being blackmailed about him having sex with men.
This is where it really gets good!! Who killed Drew?? What will happen to Taylor and Draven?? For these answers and more you need to read the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent series, Men of London delivers 9 March 2015

Susan Mac Nicol continues with her run of bringing together men whose pasts and current lives don’t make for easy liaisons.

We first met Taylor Abelard in Love You Senseless where his dubious gift of “sight” makes him susceptible to blackouts and terrifying emotional drains on his energy and even his sanity. Taylor is the real deal, something hard-headed and opinionated Draven Samuels, an investigator with a prestigious London firm, has little time or patience for.

Draven is no stranger to tragedy. The loss of his parents and the continuing heartbreak over his younger brother’s situation punctures the hard shell he wears into the soft underbelly of vulnerability. Draven sees no need to anchor himself with a relationship, but there’s something about the dark-haired, mocha-skinned Taylor that puts paid to him distancing himself from the allure of the strange young man.

Taylor and Draven cross paths again when a mutual friend seemingly commits suicide, though the reasons behind the terrible circumstances don’t seem to add up. Dravon is slow to accept the evidence of Taylor’s gift but once he does, it opens the door for them to realize how much they need each other.

The road to resolution of the mystery of the friend’s death, and the heart-wrenching decision that Dravon must make about his brother, creates waves of conflict and despair. It’s never a given that these two men could ever resolve their differences. Their hardships are real, their emotional turmoil devastating.

These are two characters you grow to love, aching when they make foolish mistakes, and praying they will listen to the advice of friends and see past hurt and words said in anger and fear. The minor characters from Love You Senseless play a central role in the drama that Dravon and Tay create without meaning to.

Great characters, a mystery, personal tragedies and a tortured path to final acceptance makes for yet another fantastic tale from an author who is on my auto-buy list. Five stars.

Liked the interesting main characters with hearts of gold and angst. British authors generally understand life after "death" as their country has countless wonderful mediums and spiritualist churches- some deeper messages that will help many people without readers feeling they're getting forcefed. All this plus two honey pot males and a good story.

Another hit from Susan Mac Nicol. Didn't think she could top the love I felt for Eddie and Gideon but she did.

Taylor and Draven will make you laugh, cry and fan yourself. What an amazing story. Draven's story is so heartbreaking but the love from Taylor makes it okay. Taylor's ability to see things is beyond beautiful and at times life saving.

Again the secondary characters make this story complete. Leslie is the best friend anyone could have. I want one too.

Cannot wait to read about Leslie and his soulmate.

I always enjoy Susan's mix of cheekiness and wit in the middle of a story filled with love, sex and delicious men.

This one had not only mysterious twists, but also paranormal activity.
No, not ghosts....
Taylor is psychic.
He sees and feels according to those that are close to him.
Those he's come in contact with.
His gift is creepy at times but very intriguing!

There were some emotional moments not only having to do with Taylor's abilities, but also with Draven, the usually tough, no nonsense investigator. His story broke my heart.

We also got to revisit with Eddie and Gideon as well as Leslie from book 1.

I'm not real fond of the woo-woo but it was a good plot device for this story. I liked Draven and Taylor both going from kind of man-whores to committed partners. I felt bad for Taylor when Draven was being an a-hole. I didn't fully feel their connection, as a lot of it seemed rather skimmed over. I feel kind of gypped on sex scenes in these books, too, since Susan MacNicol can pen a good one. The scenes with Jude were very sad and touching. I'll probably skip Leslie's book, as I haven't cared for his character much. Pretty good series.
