This is definitely a case of don't judge a book by its cover - or, in this case, a nurse by how she initially seems to be! Samantha Braithwaite is a nurse who is always striving to achieve more, though she initially seems very shy. She's working in ER who wants to join the Special Disasters Response Team but Dr Blake Cooper, the head of the team, thinks she's too quiet and shy - so she sets out to prove him wrong!
I particularly enjoyed the background details of the training and courses these dedicated professionals have to attend to qualify to be members of such specialist teams. Samantha attends one such course in the Blue Mountains, trying to avoid being on one with the judgemental Dr Blake . . . . needless to say, he also ends up there but as the course leader! As sparks fly between the two, there's plenty of drama to keep readers turning the pages and enjoying this medical romance which I happily recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre.
I requested and was given a copy of this book, via NetGalley. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.
