Product Description

"Another hilarious book by Erin Brady! She's one of the few authors that actually makes me laugh out loud!" ~Stacey G

Maggie Andrew has a problem. She needs to convince Richard, her attorney boyfriend of five years, that he’s finally ready for a commitment. How? By planning an unforgettable night starting with a romantic dinner for two and ending in the bedroom. And to help things along, Maggie has spent half of her salary on sexy black lingerie from Crandall’s Department Store that Richard won’t be able to resist. Except, once home, Maggie realizes she has someone else’s shopping bag and instead of her very expensive lingerie, she’s stuck with a housecoat that wouldn’t turn anyone’s head, least of all Richards. When Maggie goes back to the scene of the swap, she runs into Benjamin Saunders, a tall, dark and handsome stranger, who not only has what she wants but may also turn out to have what she needs. Suddenly what Maggie thinks she has with Richard is called into question and she’s not sure of anything.

"Wildly funny and a breath of fresh air! I love books that make me laugh out loud. Maggie is a great character. Another winner by Erin Brady!"

Loved this book from the moment I picked it up. A very simple concept someone accidentally ending up with the wrong bag. This author took it and ran with it. I don't want to say too much about the story because I don't want to spoil the wonderful twists and turns the author took.

I understand that this is her second novel and I will definitely be looking for her first. The Shopping Swap is a very very funny book and will have you laughing out loud constantly and as for me taking every opportunity that I could to read it. Do yourself a favor and try it you will not be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars classic chick lit! 12 January 2015
By Meredith Schorr - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
It's been a while since I've read chick lit. My Kindle is stored with a lot of fantasy and paranormal and I tend to read books in order. In need of something lighter, I downloaded The Shopping Swap and am so happy I did. It was just what the doctor ordered. Maggie is a perfect chick lit heroine - sweet, hopeful to settle down/get married/have kids, a little too willing to make excuses for her workaholic boyfriend, but not above trying to spice things up. Her internal thoughts were laugh-out-loud funny and I did - laugh out loud that is. The secondary characters were both loveable and hateable (Not a word, I know) in equal measure. This is definitely the perfect "pick-me-up" type book for when you just want to escape into a fairytale complete with a prince and a happily-ever-after. This was my first novel by Erin Brady, but certainly not my last.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very sweet story 5 April 2014
By Supermuv - Published on Amazon.com

If you are looking for originality or biting witticism with this book, look elsewhere. This is a cute, sweet and humorous story. The story is cliché, and I knew the ending mid way through the first chapter, but I loved it anyway. I wanted a nice light read that put a smile on my face and that's what I got. I would read this author again.

Nice romantic story with two men vying for one woman, Maggie. She loves one and one she should love the other. Maggie is a school teacher dating Richard, a lawyer who is too busy for her, but stringing her along. Then, she meets Ben when their bags from a store get swapped. They both end up at the store at the same time and decide to go for coffee. Ben is a millionaire and tells Maggie he likes her and they can be just friends.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fresh and Seriously Funny 23 March 2017
By Saguaro Blossom - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
A romance spurred on by a housecoat named Alice has to be totally inane, or seriously funny. Correct answer: seriously funny. The writer's fresh use of first person present voice clips this cute little book along at good speed, and makes it so, so, so hard to put down. Even if it's two a.m. Even if you have to get up at 4:30 a.m.

3.0 out of 5 stars cute and quick read 22 June 2016
By Lbuzz - Published on Amazon.com

3.5 cute easy read. maggie wants to impress her long time boyfriend so that he will propose. however, instead of brining home a back of silky lingerie, she ends up with a grandma's robe. when she goes to return it, the owner just might be what she needs to realize her boyfriend isnt going to change.
