Product Description

Snowbound. Sounds so romantic, with visions of cuddling before a roaring fire, hot chocolate spiked with brandy, and a secret elopement.
Wait. What?
My fiancé’s father won’t stop trying to turn our pending wedding into a three-ring media circus so he can get free publicity for his family’s Fortune 500 company. My mother has decided she’s done with All Things Wedding and asks her teacup Chihuahua for mother-of-the-bride advice.
They’ve all gone certifiably mad.
Then the stress from the wedding puts my mother in the hospital, I scream at my future father-in-law in front of a camera crew and the video goes viral, and the romantic wedding that started with Andrew’s grand Pride and Prejudice proposal looks less like Jane Austen and more like Dostoyevsky.
So what do you do when you’re a fixer and you can’t fix something?
You give up on it.
Not on Andrew, silly.
The wedding.

Shopping for a CEO’s Wife is the 12th book in Julia Kent’s New York Times bestselling Shopping series. As Shannon and Declan enjoy their newlywed bliss, Andrew’s father wants to exploit Amanda and Andrew’s nuptials, much to Amanda’s chagrin. Can she learn to stand up to her future father-in-law and fight for what’s right? But the real question is: will Spritzy the teacup Chihuahua end up being a flower girl?

What a delicious bit of fun this book is!

Julia Kent certainly has a knack of taking some quite serious issues, imbed them in a romantic comedy and end up with an entertaining book!

Andrew and Amanda are in the process of planning their wedding however James, Andrew's father, is using the event for promotional purposes-ruining many times/events for Andrew and Amanda. James is basically creating a disaster with his encouraging of the paparazzi but how can he be stopped?

The humour in this light, easy to read book is excellent and has you chuckling out loud. For example...

"Dec!” Andrew calls back. “Get Gerald here. We have a pap in the bush.” “That’s what I get once a year at the gynecologist,” Shannon says, giving me a very bewildered look.

Too funny! This fast paced book is a real 'pick me up' leaving readers feeling great!

I look forward to the next book.

They say you should start out the way you intend to finish, well Julia Kent stays true to the saying. Within the first two pages I am laughing out loud (and getting weird looks - sorry swimming parents 🙄) but that did not stop me. I only put the book down as I had to play parent (and I don't think reading while driving is safe). Another amazing installment of this series and I will be devastated when it comes to an end....my brain will never erase the hot tub

And Julia Kent has done it again!!!!! Amazing and hilarious!!!! I read it in one seating as per ususal with Julia's books. I had said before that Andrew was my favourite and after this book I fell a little more in love with him. I trully love this couple and I enjoyed their book. I laughed my heart out and I strongly recommend reading this book once you have read the entire series. It can be read as a stand alone but quite honestly why miss all the fun? Can't wait for Hemish's book!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Julia Kent does it again, another 5 star must read 23 April 2017

I received this book as an arc in exchange for a honest review. In true Julia Kent fashion this book will have you hysterically laughing. Andrew and Amanda are getting married and if you thought things were out of control when Declan and Shannon just sit back and enjoy the ride. James makes Marie look tame. In between all the craziness, Andrew and Amanda share many tender moments and the reader gains more insight into the bond between them. Just because I didn't mention it first, doesn't mean that the hotness factor isn't off the charts. This is a 5 star must read in the Shopping Series! You will not be disappointed in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilariously funny and beautifully heartwarming! 24 April 2017

Shopping for a CEO's Wife by Julia Kent is everything you expect from Julia Kent and so much more. Andrew and Amanda have so much more depth than you expect. Yes, they are quirky and the dialogue between the two flows and draws you in as always. The ability of the characters to finally see the strength that they have inside of them, however, is what I absolutely loved about this book. You would think that Julia could not outdo herself in these books, that they'd somehow become monotonous after so many books in a series but each one brings out more about the main characters and also shows us so many glimpses into other characters. I laughed out loud at all the "competition" references, literally snorting and spitting up at so many different parts of the book. I also cheered when Amanda and Andrew finally stood up for themselves with James. But what I loved most was the connection that these two have over and above all the hijinx of their lives. So many quotes in the book highlighted this connection. "He's invited me into his memory -- not just shared it with me through words, but included me in the ongoing evolution of integrating his past self with our present intimacy". I'll be the first to say that Andrew was not necessarily my favorite -- at first -- but after this book, I am completely enthralled by Andrew. Despite this "intimacy", you will find everything you love about this series including fun facts about a few strange and obscure things...but I won't spoil that for you. Just drink carefully while reading because you will laugh out loud

5.0 out of 5 stars This story is hilarious! 26 April 2017

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

This Billionaire family just keeps getting better and better! Julia Kent is an amazing writer who keeps us on our toes with the never ending twists and turns in this fabulously funny story of Andrew and Amanda.

Amanda is my hero!! This woman is simple and sweet with a core of strength that enables her to take on the most stubborn, cunning, selfish, intimidating former CEO of one of the top Fortune 500 companies in the world who just happens to be her future father-in-law! She can also withstand the onslaught of the never ending intrusion of the paparazzi invading her personal space and privacy.

The wit and humor along with steadfast determination of Andrew and Amanda make their crazy life as ordinary as billionaire’s lives can get. This even takes Mystery Shopping to a whole new level of informative crazy!

The complex and varied people in this story all blend into a sweet, exciting, heartfelt, love story that you can’t put down until it’s finished.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amanda & Andrew get their HEA, on their own terms 26 April 2017
By Shelley Peters - Published on Amazon.com

This is the third book for Amanda and Andrew and the 12th book in the Shopping Series. It can be read a standalone. They are all fun, and the story will make more sense if you read Shopping for a CEO and Shopping for a CEO's Fiancée. first, if not the full series.

Between the paparazzi doing anything and everything to get photos of the happy couple to sell and Andrew's father, James, encouraging that for more publicity for their company, Anterdec, the crazy fun and laughs start at page 3 of this book. Then it just gets worse as James takes over, with the help of a hired wedding planner, all the wedding preparations until neither the bride nor groom want to attend.
We get some background on the family home where the boys grew up in this book. We also see even more of Terry, Declan and Andrew competing for....well, everything. A mystery shop that goes all wrong. Amanda and Andrew get their happily ever after in the end, but they had to grab it with both hands and make it happen, together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Romantic Comedy at its best!!! Laughed so hard I cried! 26 April 2017

Highly entertaining, Laugh Out Loud, steaming hot, Can't wait to marry you and start blazing our own path, gotta have you now romance. Not exactly sure how she does it, but this series just keeps getting better and better with each new adventure. (just when I firmly believe she can't possibly top the last one she inserts "tugging" into the normal flow of conversation.)

Amanda and Andrew’s nuptials are turned into a all out war between James, the Media and the used to be happy couple (can they be happy again). Andrew's father really needs a new hobby to take his time up now that he has stepped down as CEO and he decides he just might have a future in television... (and he is all to willing to use any means necessary) So much for a small, quite affair. Just can't get enough of this insanely fun group of people. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars. (needs like 10)
