Product Description

The New York Times bestselling romantic comedy series continues...
Snowbound. Sounds so romantic, with visions of cuddling before a roaring fire, hot chocolate spiked with brandy, and a secret elopement.

Wait. What?

My fiancé's father won't stop trying to turn our pending wedding into a three-ring media circus so he can get free publicity for his family's Fortune 500 company. My mother has decided she's done with All Things Wedding and asks her teacup Chihuahua for mother-of-the-bride advice.

They've all gone certifiably mad

Then the stress from the wedding puts my mother in the hospital, I scream at my future father-in-law in front of a camera crew and the video goes viral, and the romantic wedding that started with Andrew's grand Pride and Prejudice proposal looks less like Jane Austen and more like Dostoyevsky.

So what do you do when you're a fixer and you can't fix something?

You give up on it.

Not on Andrew, silly.

The wedding.

Shopping for a CEO's Wife is the 12th book in Julia Kent's New York Times bestselling Shopping series. As Shannon and Declan enjoy their newlywed bliss, Andrew's father wants to exploit Amanda and Andrew's nuptials, much to Amanda's chagrin. Can she learn to stand up to her future father-in-law and fight for what's right? But the real question is: will Spritzy the teacup Chihuahua end up being a flower girl?

5.0 out of 5 stars Julia Kent does it again, another 5 star must read 23 April 2017

I received this book as an arc in exchange for a honest review. In true Julia Kent fashion this book will have you hysterically laughing. Andrew and Amanda are getting married and if you thought things were out of control when Declan and Shannon just sit back and enjoy the ride. James makes Marie look tame. In between all the craziness, Andrew and Amanda share many tender moments and the reader gains more insight into the bond between them. Just because I didn't mention it first, doesn't mean that the hotness factor isn't off the charts. This is a 5 star must read in the Shopping Series! You will not be disappointed in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilariously funny and beautifully heartwarming! 24 April 2017

Shopping for a CEO's Wife by Julia Kent is everything you expect from Julia Kent and so much more. Andrew and Amanda have so much more depth than you expect. Yes, they are quirky and the dialogue between the two flows and draws you in as always. The ability of the characters to finally see the strength that they have inside of them, however, is what I absolutely loved about this book. You would think that Julia could not outdo herself in these books, that they'd somehow become monotonous after so many books in a series but each one brings out more about the main characters and also shows us so many glimpses into other characters. I laughed out loud at all the "competition" references, literally snorting and spitting up at so many different parts of the book. I also cheered when Amanda and Andrew finally stood up for themselves with James. But what I loved most was the connection that these two have over and above all the hijinx of their lives. So many quotes in the book highlighted this connection. "He's invited me into his memory -- not just shared it with me through words, but included me in the ongoing evolution of integrating his past self with our present intimacy". I'll be the first to say that Andrew was not necessarily my favorite -- at first -- but after this book, I am completely enthralled by Andrew. Despite this "intimacy", you will find everything you love about this series including fun facts about a few strange and obscure things...but I won't spoil that for you. Just drink carefully while reading because you will laugh out loud

5.0 out of 5 stars When you laugh and cry from reading just the dedications page, you know you are in for a wonderful ride... 23 April 2017

When you laugh and cry from reading just the dedications page, you know you are in for a wonderful ride...

I have adored the Shopping series from the first moment I pick it up. There have been books that I liked more than others (Shopping for a Billionaires Fiancee, Shopping for a CEO, Shopping for a CEO's Fiancee are on the top of my list) but every book in this series is amazingly wonderful. I seem to love the books from the male perspective (Declan and Andrew) the best but this book from Amanda's POV is equally evocative and emotional. There were moments that I was laughing and then crying or crying from an emotional moment then laughing at something that was said or done.

There were some things that Pam (Amanda's mother) said that were beautiful and elegant even though they were hard for some people to hear. (And I hope that they did hear them and assimilate them because they needed to be said!)

There were some extremely comical moments as well. The dinner scene at Pam's with Amanda, Andrew, Shannon and Declan was very funny. To see Declan lose his cool was wonderful!

Some of the things that happened have be set up for future books and (maybe) some future tensions between the brothers. And I cannot wait to read those books as well.

P.S. I really hope we get to see more about Terry and Carol. Every book we see tiny little morsels about these two characters and I would LOVE to read about them as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly entertaining!!! 24 April 2017

The riot of characters have come together for another amazingly crazy story that will have you doubled in snorts and giggles. And not even the drone-catching-hawk can prepare you for the adventure of this mystery-shopper! But, since you've followed this family's story, maybe you might have an idea!

So, cancel your appointments, call in sick from work, shut down your TV, because you will definitely not get anything done until you've finished reading this!!!

I was provided a copy for review purposes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hawk drone? 24 April 2017

Julia Kent, you have another winner on your hands! This family/group story continues and this is Amanda and Andrew's wedding story. If you think that Declan and Shannon wedding story was something, you ain't seen anything yet! From centerpieces with little frogs to papparazzis in the hot tub, this is one wild ride to shenanigans and fun. Amanda is almost second guessing herself in this marriage idea. James is putting Marie to shame with the press hounding the future bride and groom everywhere and his obsession for the social media outlets. He goes too far and somebody gets hurt! There is no remorse on James part . Is Andrew and Amanda left with only one choice ? What is a secret shopper to do? I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
