Product Description

**USA Today bestseller**
Who needs a SWAT team to escape from their own wedding? Me.

My Momzilla turned us into hostages at our own ceremony, so Declan and I are getting married the good old-fashioned way, just like everybody else.

By calling in his private security team, stealing away before the ceremony by helicopter, connecting to his corporate jet and heading for Las Vegas.

The Boston wedding of the year is about to become a trashy Elvis drive-thru ceremony.

Until the best man spills the beans and Mom, Dad, my sisters, his brothers, my maid of honor, my friend Josh, and even my cat, Chuckles, all come along for the ride.

I can't win, can I?

Oh. Yeah. I already did.

Love conquers all.

Even my crazy family.

Shopping for a Billionaire's Wife is the 8th book in the New York Times and USA Today bestselling Shopping for a Billionaire series. After Declan convinces Shannon to escape from their own wedding minutes before the ceremony begins, the madcap adventures are just getting started. When the mother of the bride pries their location out of the tortured best man, the whole crazy crew follows the bride and groom to Las Vegas in this romantic comedy from Julia Kent.

I laughed from the start and I mean that literally, within the first paragraph I was laugh snorting. This one may be one of my favourite of the lot and that's saying a lot because I bloody love this whole series. Well done Julia....

I was given this book to review with an honest opinion.

Julia you have done it again, Shannon and Declan have gone through so much with Momzilla, so they had to escape, but it doesn't take her long to find them in Las Vegas.
Sex Toy shows, chocolate penises, this book has the lot and more. The 8th book in this series has as many laughs (crying tears of laughter that is) as the previous ones but we also got to meet the characters on a deeper level.
I don't think I will ever see a spa the same way again, vagicials, whale sperm and even more things you would never think of.
The cliffhanger at the end of the book is definitely something I didn't see coming and can't wait to find out the outcome.
If you are looking for a romantic comedy look no further than this series, and if you haven't read the previous ones you should, once you start reading they are hard to put down.
Thank you again Julia for allowing me to review this copy and I look forward to many more stories from you

I have never been able to put down one of Julia's books. If I start it I must finish. Shannon and Declan have to escape from their own wedding because, Shannon's mom made her wedding her own! Then the hilarity ensues. Someone tells her Mom where they're hiding and then she makes it her mission to pin them down. I can't begin to say how great Julia's books are each and every time. I don't think anyone could be disappointed getting a book from her, they're just that good!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected--some good laughts 12 April 2017

Book 8 is my least favorite book so far. I love the original couple Declan and Shannon and watching their relationship develop. There are a lot of hilarious parts that made me laugh hard. My problem is that I felt like I was on a merry-go-round. Parts of the story kept circling but didn’t feel like it takes me anywhere. I want to say incredulous because I read it every other chapter. I think this is Julia's favorite word.

By the time, we get to understand (a little) why Marie is so over the top crazy about her wedding foolishness; I didn’t care. Another track tht the story takes that I question is the parings. The story is starting to sound like the West Virginia/Tennessee Hollows. Andrew is with Shannon’s “best friend” Amanda, James is getting involved with Amanda’s mom. I don’t know where James and Pam's relationship is going since he always hooks up with young 20 somethings. Anyway, it feels strange and unnatural as it is becoming an inbred group.

Don’t get me wrong; I still like most of this book and series in general. Ms. Kent knows how to write and tell a story that makes me laugh. I am, however, questioning the way some parts of the story is progressing. I am hoping that Julie will return to the funniness that isn’t so over-the-top soon. Declan and Shannon are working on their issues that feel so right.

5.0 out of 5 stars Witty & hilarious, it still touches your heart 24 March 2016

This latest installment in Shannon & Declan's life is as enchanting, clever and funny as ever. This time they're in Las Vegas trying to decide their next step now that they've escaped the juggernaut that was their first wedding attempt. The Las Vegas location is absolutely the perfect place to most pointedly highlight the differences between Declan and Shannon. Much as they love each other, the artifice and glamour of the city spotlight conflicts between the two that can easily divide them. Will they let that happen? Of course, family and friends have followed the engaged couple to sin city. Shannon' s Mom is still crazy and inappropriate. Her husband, Jason is as long suffering as ever, but is he really? Of course Amanda, Shannon' s BFF, and Declan' s brother, Andrew, have also joined the troupe. These characters bring an additional dimension to the telling of this story that totally engages the reader. The characters all come to life in this story, as they have in all the previous books.

The conflicts, competition and comedic situations are nothing less than brilliant. The necessary considerations of what a real marriage entails are artfully and sensitively addressed. The use of current slang, media and entertainment references make this book refreshing and real. Once again Ms. Kent has provided a particularly entertaining work that provides intelligence, spirit and wit while telling a well plotted and developed story. What a fascinating series, can't wait for the next installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarity Continues! 29 March 2016

Julia Kent hits another one out of the ballpark with the 8th book in this series! The story picks up with our heroine, Shannon and her ever thoughtful groom-to-be (and our Hero) Declan, fleeing their "over-the-top" Scottish-themed wedding ceremony that was planned by her Momzilla mother, Marie. Because there was so much of the press invited to the ceremony, their wild escape by helicopter, makes headline news around the world! The reader is a "fly on the wall" listening to sometimes giddy, sometimes heartwrenchingly panicked conversations between Shannon and Dec as the realization of what they did and the possible "whys" slowly unravels.

Julia stays true to her witty and fast moving dialogue between the main characters and all the supporting cast members (especially Declan's brother, Andrew, Shannon's best friend, Amanda, Shannon's parents, Marie and Jason, and Dec's father, James) we've all grown to love as well! What's different this time around is Julia has added deeper character development by revealing interesting insights, which intensifies the conflicts in the story. I think these intense conflicts leads to a sweeter, more satisfying HEA ending to this installment of the story. I can't wait to see what happens in the next phase!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Book 8 is finally here!! *I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

Shopping for a Billionaire's Wife picks up where Shopping for a CEO leaves off. Shannon and Declan are running from Momzilla and quite possibly the most ostentatious and ridiculous wedding ever planned! They escape to Vegas but of course nothing with these two is ever that easy.

What I love so much about this series is the laughter you are guaranteed to get at every turn. This book had me laughing out loud at so many parts (vajacial, how ocean water is salty, the lengths Shannon will go to for coffee, and so many others!). This book also explored deeper conflict and inspired some tears at a couple spots. The amazing thing about these characters, as well as the characters from the author's other series, is they feel so real. I connect with them and feel what they are feeling. I root for their happy endings and laugh until I'm crying at their antics.

That cliffhanger ending has me impatiently waiting for Book #9!!

By the time you get to #8 in a series, you've pretty much decided that you like where the story is going. I did skip the momzilla mother of the bride book as I don't really like the way the mother is portrayed. This was more lunacy and mayhem for Shannon and Declan, but they managed to work through everything and grow as a couple. I am glad I followed through to the end, but I don't need all the side stories and everything wrapped up in a nice neat bow. I am ready to move on. Sometimes too much is more than enough.
