The shock of the title comes very early on for Micah Reed as he and his friend Layne Parrish are attacked. Micah and Layne’s pet dog are bundled into a van as Layne lies bleeding on the ground. This is another first class thrill ride of a novel in this Micah Reed series but this is almost not his story. It’s a story he’s caught up in and left alone to deal with. Jim Heskett does his usual great job delivering the action scenes and the overall story is very good too. A fun read that’s a fabulous addition to the series.

Talk about what's going to happen next? Always action never sure what is on which side, or what the target is. Loved the whole book, highly recommended.
His first book I've read and although I enjoyed it I have been unable to make my mind up as to how I feel towards the characters involved. The goal of the plot is quite unusual but VERY vague as regards origin
