Product Description

Bedroom eyes and rock hard abs make for yummy eye candy, but Harper Mattox knows a bad boy when she sees him. She’s been there, done that, and refuses to buy the T-shirt. The scar was enough of a souvenir.

When Harper agrees to be the temporary secretary at H&V Construction as a favor to her best friends’ husband, Adam Hughes, she thought her days would be spent behind the desk, organizing until her heart was content. She had no idea she’d have to put up with the walking sex-on-a-stick Christian Viera. AKA, her other boss. No matter how many times she turned him down, he just oozed more charm in her direction, weakening her knees, as well as her resolve. And it was only her first day!

When Harper’s life is threatened, Chris is ready and willing to protect her, showing off an animalistic side she never knew existed. She’s known violence in her past and has no room for it in her life now. Is the fiery passion between them enough to stick it out? Can she accept him? Fangs, claws, teeth, and all?

*Warning: This book contains strong sexual content and is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

**Shifted Under Construction is a standalone novella, set in the world of The Alpha Division and follows Shifted Undercover.

The story was pretty good except for the fact that everyone keeps saying that Chris is really a nice guy. But he does not seem to be so nice when he won't take "no" for an answer and keeps pushing Harper to have sex with him even though he has just met her. Harper eventually gives in and has sex with him; then he says it was just a bit of fun and won't happen again. He seems to be a typical commitment phobe. But when Harper is threatened by her creepy ex he mans up and changes his tune. Finally he realizes that Harper is "the one" for him and that he has to make the commitment. And Harper realizes that not all "bad boys" are really that bad. Harper is cornered by her nasty ex and saves herself by shooting him and Chris arrives just then in his tiger form. Chris explains that he is a shifter; then he takes over and promises Harper that no one will know exactly what happened because the outfit he and Adam do jobs for will take care of things. And finally he and Harper come together as they were meant to be all along.

Oooooooo when you meet your match nothing that you thought before is the same. This story was created by Ms. CE Black with her amazing imagination or was it? It's been said that our government has many a secrets, Area 51, Aliens so why not shifters... Something to think about anyway!  Yes, I recommend this book it is amazingly phenomenal.
Harper Mattox is a elementary teacher consequently here summers are free. Spending a week in the hospital compliments of her ex-boyfriend was not, Now Harper was leary of all men, especially bad boys, which was always what she liked.
Christian Viera is a Tiger Shifter and especially  a Bad Boy Tiger in Bed, with all the ladies. Oh this man let all his lady friends know the rules
before hand, not his problem they forgot. Then he meets this feisty lady who says differently, maybe, it's hard but she's trying to ignore him, can he change her mind? Than accidents started happening, Christian's protective mode  began. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible 10 November 2016
By not joking - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This was so bad it should be taken off the market by the writer. Seriously. The heroine who was emotionally and physically abused by her shifter boyfriend, hurt so badly that she was in the hospital for a week and he actually went to jail or prison, displayed no trauma or self-protective behaviors a year later. She meets her new boss, acknowledges he is everything like the ex-boyfriend, identifies he is a player, he says he is a player, and she has sex with him in an open construction trailer two hours later. He then puts his fist through the trailer wall, terrifies her, has a knock down drag out fight with his best friend who literally dragged her back to the trailer, and she decides everything is just fine ... well, except he says he doesn't want anything to do with her, or maybe just one night of sex. That's okay, because she is in love with him, five hours after they met, and she'll change him with the power of her vajayjay.

So, so bad.

4.0 out of 5 stars Chris & Harper 6 April 2016
By Nicole Johnson - Published on Amazon.com

Shifted Under Construction is new book under the Alpha Division umbrella. This book is about tiger shape shifter Chris and curvy human Harper. Harper is a school teacher out for the summer, helping as a secretary at her friend's husband's construction company. It's there that she meets Chris. This, like the other Alpha Division books, has a bit of suspense in the story, is most definitely a love story and ends in a HEA. This story had my attention from the beginning, Harper is easy to relate to and Chris is a sexy shifter. The banter and flirtation between the two are on point and left me laughing too. This book is a fast, enjoyable book and a great branch off of the Alpha Division series.
3.0 out of 5 stars ok 17 February 2017

This was entertaining enough for an evening read, but it's one we've all read a couple dozen times by now. Abused woman meets shifter in the morning, insta-love, explosive sex before lunch, a little unnecessary drama to fill out the pages, more sex, and in love by dinner. Meh. Nothing special there, no world-building, character development, or base for the love.

I did like how Harper stood up for herself and how Chris was often described as looking panicked or confused. It was cute. But I disliked how he came on so strong from the moment he met Harper and wouldn't back off, even when she clearly told him to. He felt like a player, which he's supposed to have been, but the sort that pressures women into sex they don't want to get him to go away. It did not make him endearing.

Further, everyone kept saying, "Yeah, he's a player, but he's really a nice guy" or "He doesn't treat women well, but he's a good person." Um, how exactly can you take that aspect of his character out, exclude it and say he's good. They are one and the same, there is no BUT. If he's a dick to women, he's a dick, period. He sure felt like one to me and never redeemed himself. He got what he wanted from Harper, pusher her away, got possessive, told her didn't want a relationship but still wanted sex, then claimed her again. And she just went along with his every whim on this issue. Meh. I never came to like him.

For a quick read that you can go into knowing what to expect, get a couple chuckles out of this is worth picking up. Just don't expect anything deep or well-developed.
5.0 out of 5 stars A short but super fun read 21 November 2016

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. Harper is in an abusive relationship when she decides she has had enough and tells her abusive boyfriend to leave when he attacks her and puts her in the hospital. She has flashbacks to the attack and remembers things that couldn't possibly be real, could they? A year later she is doing a favour for a friend by helping out her husband for the summer at his construction company. Chris is one of the partners in the company and the chemistry between the two is immediate and super charged. Because of the type of work that Chris does, beyond the construction, he holds himself back from getting emotionally involved with women and is quite the womaniser. He is pretty up front with the women and doesn't lead them to believe that their encounters are more than they are. But Harper is different, she reaches a place in him that others haven't. She makes him realise that living the way he has been, despite his job, isn't necessary - she breaks through his barriers & he helps her to trust again. A stalker puts Harper in danger and puts her and Chris' future in danger.
4.0 out of 5 stars Hott read! 17 April 2016

So, I've read this author before and loved the book. Its been awhile and I got this when it came out. I really loved it but I have a feeling I am missing something. So, I think I'll be checking out some of her other work as well!

I really enjoyed the book. I wasn't a big fan of Chris especially at first. I've read his type before the playboys and never wanting to settle down types. He was a nice charming guy but only when he wanted to be. He had a mean streak and could be a bit angry. He's essentially a user and somehow he doesnt realize what he's done to all the women he used. Yeah...they knew the score before they got together. When a guy is nice to you..yeah you think it might be different. Not that he should treat women like crap but perhaps be not so nice? He did grow on me and had me laughing a lot. I didnt hate him just wanted to slap him a lot. Those are the best ones usually. Oh...the toilet brush and the rags and cleaner was freakin priceless! I laughed my butt off! I really liked Harper. She's a smart woman and funny. She's down to earth and sweet. She's been abused and stayed with the guy for too long cause he did end up hurting her pretty badly physically and emotionally. This certainly kept me on my toes and I liked Adam and Nikki. I enjoyed the read and it was hot too! I'll be reading more!
