Product Description

Product Description

While trying to teach her adopted daughter, Reema, how to work with molten glass, Opal receives a letter from Master Magician Zitora Cowan requesting Opal's immediate help. Zitora resigned from the Sitian Council over two years ago to search for her lost sister, and no one has heard from her since. The letter is probably a trick, but Opal refuses to pass up the opportunity to help her mentor, who may be in genuine trouble. Good thing Opal isn't that easy to fool. With her two soldier friends Nic and Eve providing backup, the three travel to a small town in the Jewelrose Clan. But can they rescue the Master Magician without being caught in the same trap?

Over two years ago Master Magician Zitora Cowan retired her position to embark on a quest to find her lost sister. No one has heard from Zitora, until Opal receives a cryptic letter asking for help. Plucked from her domestic life into the world of a megalomaniac, Opal and friends must find Zitora, save her sister and get out alive. But will they make it in time, and what awaits them when they return?

Another amazing novella from the intriguing mind of Maria V. Snyder, and a must read for all Study fans. Taking place at the same time as the much awaited Dawn Study, we are finally given an answer to the question of what happened to Zitora. And the view into the everyday life of Opal is heart-warming for all lovers of the Glass series. To top off this fantastic interlude, the ebook also treats readers to the first two chapters of Dawn Study! It is the perfect thing to hold off withdrawals from this wonderful fantasy world. A definite must for all MVS fans!

Already a huge fan of this series, so no surprises that I liked the novella. Liked, not loved. I didn't find the story as gripping as others, although the ending sure as hell is.
