Product Description

Sara Hawthorne thought she had found the man of her dreams. He was caring, protective to a fault and desired her in ways she had only dreamed of. Her life was finally falling into place until a secret tore her new world apart. Reeling from a devastating betrayal, she ran from the only man who had broken down her defenses, making her feel alive after years of simply existing.

Alek Devera risked it all to keep her safe. His own happiness meant nothing if she wasn’t protected. But when Sara ended their relationship, the evidence of his betrayal strewn at her feet, he vowed to win her back, putting their delicate future into fate’s hands.

Will Sara give Alek the chance he needs to explain or will she choose to forge ahead with her simple life, leaving her heart in the shadows along with her dreams for a happily ever after?

**Author's note** This book ends on a cliffhanger. The third book in the trilogy will be released on July 7, 2015

2.0 out of 5 stars This book was written very amateurish and child like. The responses were way over the top 23 August 2015

This book was written very amateurish and child like. The responses were way over the top. They both get off the charts furious with each other- over every single "misunderstanding"; zero mature communication between them.
I could not even finish it. I really could not care less what happened to either of these people. An example of bad writing was Alek saying "Sara.." in virtually every dialogue. Couples do not say each other's name in almost every sentence to each other. Very annoying,

2.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't finish it 4 February 2017

Sorry, I hate leaving bad reviews but I honestly don't know how anyone is giving these books 5 stars... Poorly written, stilted, not believable dialogue. I don't know anyone who speaks this way in normal life. You don't use your boyfriend or friend's name each and every sentence.
Also felt like I was reading a scene in Sylvia Day's Crossfire series, down to the charity gala, cousin (in Day's version it is his brother she is warned away from). Not original AT ALL.

Couldn't finish it

3.0 out of 5 stars More of the same 1 August 2015
By Sparkymom - Published on Amazon.com

This second installment was much like the first, a bossy man and a sometimes feisty woman who constantly bicker. I wanted it to be better and different from the first book, but it just wasn't. It was fairly melodramatic and repetitive. The constant bickering tended to also get on my nerves. While the ending was another cliffhanger, I just don't think I will be able to make myself read the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm missing something? 27 October 2016

So with book things seems to get a little more juicier. I could be less frustrating if Alek and Sara didn't fight constantly. I felt I was left out about the second dairy characters lives. If the author is going to bring up their it I would liked if know how it ties into the story. Is there a spin off, or did I miss a book that ties to this series.

The story was really great it is keeping me wanting more
3.0 out of 5 stars Shattered 1 March 2017

I find the story to be interesting, but sometimes I just can't stand the characters and the way they handle things. I've almost but the book done several times. I am going to finish the series because I have already invested the time. Both of these characters need to grow a backbone. And seriously, has no one of heard of the pill!!!
