Product description
Review
Praise for Impostors: Fans of the original quartet will be delighted to see how much the world of Tally Youngblood has grown and expanded. . . . Even if readers aren't familiar with the original series, they'll still enjoy this well-placed novel from start to finish. . . Westerfeld's many, many fans will line up for this return to the world of his uberpopular Uglies. -- BooklistAlthough set in the world of Uglies (2005), this work is accessible as an entry point. Impressive, immaculately plotted sci fi chock full of twists. -- Kirkus ReviewsThemes such as environmental conservation and individual freedom deepen the story right up to its explosive finale, which will leave readers looking forward to the next installment. -- Publishers' Weekly

Fun and I could really relate to both main characters.

Shatter City is like true Scott Westerfeld and sucks you into the story on the first page. I love the fast-pace, quick chapters. With every chapter end, I want to learn more. It's a wonderful story coming after the Uglies quartet. I think it's even better, because it's about after the revolution and you don't always get to know what happened *after*. I won't spoil anything by saying I was shocked but there are some great twists and turns! I had a ton of fun getting into the twins lives.

A great second act
Reviewed in the United States on 14 November 2020Verified Purchase
This book had some great action and momentum to it. It had all the right feels, as well, as Frey grows into herself. I can begin to see the outline of who she is becoming and the world she is shaping. I have to say, even though some kissing is going on, for me the romance between Col and Frey seems a little lost in this book. I just couldn't feel it's rhythm this time. I would have liked a deeper peek into Rafia's desires and thoughts, but she has become an ever deeper mystery. Only Frey's relationship with Boss X seemed to grow.
Anyway, the finale is in play and I await in my quarantine prison for it! I hope it comes soon!

Not as good as Book 1, but still good

I bought this book for my 14 year old son who read Book 1 in his school library, and wanted to next book. He loved the first book! This book, he said, was good but nowhere near as good as the first one. I know nothing about it, other than it's age appropriate for a 9th grader.
