This is a book you will find very rewarding indeed if you're reasonably intelligent and moderately well read on the one hand; or if you genuinely love strange and imaginative stories on the other hand. If you don't belong in either of these categories, and don't want to or even just aren't ready to yet, then wait a while.

Impenetrable, obtuseReviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 March 2021
Little coherent structure and several times I found myself wondering what was going on an=d where the book was going. Humourless and dull. Little action of any kind, just wandering aimless and confused narrative.
Not my cup of teaReviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 October 2019
Just not for me I suppose, the writing style just felt off, almost intentionally awkward. Read a sample chapter before you pick this one up.

Very Poor Kindle VersionReviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 October 2015
Apparently this is a good/great book (if you believe the reviews) but the kindle version is full of spelling mistakes which makes this an awful read. At some points it is impossible to understand and I couldn’t bring myself to butcher a good book by continuing.

Mr. Mark A. Laborda
A great start to this long storyReviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 December 2014
A great start to this long story, the torturer sequences are quite chilling though you were left wanting a bit more of them. Some of the plot lines take a long time to tell and it could have done with a bit more pace.
