a lot doesn't make sense as far as a story about vampires go but I do love the difference in the vampire from the generic type

Very much enjoying this series. I am entertained and interested, a lot doesn't make sense as far as a story about vampires go but I do love the difference in the vampire from the generic type.

I feel a bit resentful that I have to buy 7 books when the story could be told in less. I expect I will read on as I am enjoying the story though.

I bought pretty much the entire series. The books are okay, light enough to read without having to think much. Overall the storyline is very predictable and uninspiring. I found myself skipping through parts that were a little boring. Overall an alright series if you don't have any expectations, personally wouldn't read these again however.

Story bowls you along.

This series is simple yet different enough from the other vampire novels I have read. The Black Dagger Brotherhood series takes some beating as the characters were so interesting and all their stories were in different books. This series however, the characters are less complicated and the story line remains the same throughout the 5 books, gaining momentum as it goes along.
I have enjoyed the series and found it easy reading. Other reviewers have gone into detail about the plot so I won't repeat it, but suffice to say, it is a good read, a little repetitive in the tooing and frowing emotions between Derek and Sofia, but what I didn't mind is the author only goes into a little detail from previous books to fill you in so far, which I found quite helpful as I do forget easily what went on before.
I like the way each chapter is written in each characters perspecitve so you can see how each of them perceive what the other one is thinking.
There aren't any detailed sex scenes as there are in BDB, but you know it goes on, which is refreshing for people who don't like very descriptive sex in their novels.... after reading BDB series, I quite missed it in this book!
All in all, a good series to get your teeth into - ha

Thus book filled on from the last , we see more of how Sophia and Ben are when thrown back to the real world - things don’t go back to normal for them and the both make choices that bring them to the next chapter of their lives and for those living in the shade .
It’s an exciting ride so far ...

Although this book appears to have been written for teens, which I am not, it is a really good read. I am currently on book 6 of the series and have found each one hard to put down and can't wait for next volume. Different kind of vamp stories.
