Emerson is a strong, loving, loyal woman and divorced mother of three. She tries to be a good co-parent and is respectful to her ex, especially in front of the kids.
But its time for Emerson to have a man in her life again. And the gorgeous Mateo has been waiting patiently in the wings.
He has loved her for years and only wants what is best for Emerson, and so he is careful with her heart.
When it looks like Emerson might have to choose a life without him, the emotions are raw.
Written in the first person makes reading this story an intimate journey that one shares with Emerson. Its like being her bestie, with whom she will share all of most personal thoughts and feelings.

This book seemed to speak to me. I loved every word and felt Emerson's every worry and frustration. I even ignored my phone so that I could read! The writing is just so realistic that I felt like I was a member of the family, living every event and emotion. I am totally in love with Mateo. He is everything you want in a man and boy does he know how to handle every situation. He is some kind of miracle worker (in and out of the bedroom.) The additional characters are so complementary to the story that they are also my family too; Emerson and Ryan's three kids, Emerson's brother and his wife and her best friend, Poppy all make a great mix.
Emerson and Ryan have been divorced for a couple of years now. They remain a solid unit for their three kids and back each other up. But, the marriage just couldn't hack it. Ryan just wasn't bothered enough to try and fight for their marriage. It has taken Emerson the last couple of years to be ready to let go. A night out with her best friends produced a 'sex bucket list' that Emerson had kept in her purse for a while. This list springs to life when Mateo finds it on her desk at work. These two had been watching each other for quite a while.
Having three kids, an ex-husband and a job is hard work. Factor in a new relationship and watch the drama unfold.
I could read this story forever and not tire of it. It's just so true to life.
I definitely recommend you read this. I am going to look into more books by Prescott Lane because I am a new fan.
A Book Lovers Emoprium.
Emerson is a divorced mum of three, she is a career woman and struggling with accepting who she is in her 40s. One day she finds an old list in her wallet, it's a Sex Bucket List, written 2 years earlier with her two best friend at a drunken bachelorette night, soon after her marriage breakdown. The list is mistakenly left on her desk and found by staff member Mateo, the company's hot security expert who has been flirting with Emerson already. Having been secretly obsessed with her for a long time Mateo uses this information to his advantage.
Emerson's ex-husband is still very much in her life but doesn't want her anymore, or so she thinks. Everything is becoming confusing for her and the kids. Throw in the antics of her friends and it all makes for a good read.

As a female character Emerson is so relatable. Working mum to 3 kids, over 40 and puts everyone before herself.
Lots of laughs and plenty heat, if you love Rom/Coms then this is for you.

Overall, an easy read but just found it a little lacklustre.

A completely new author to me and a trope I’m not normally fond of, but ffs I want a Mateo and I want one now!!!!

Similiar to Sylvia Days books.
I was intrigued by how lovely and amazing this read was
