Quality control issues

There are a great deal of quality control issues with this product, these include: inconsistent stitching of the ear pads, ear pads not assembled correctly so that they are seated home on the earphone, wonky logo sticker, defects in the logo sticker and the sound quality (although great) is not the same in each of the headphones I received.
This might be acceptable if you are spending £20 or so, but at a price point over £100 certain standards should be met as a minimum.
It seems as if a lot of "B" stock is being sold and paraded about as regular stock. I had to buy directly from the Sennheiser website to get a pair that I was happy with. It was the third pair I bought and after playing a few difficulty tracks on the headphones the best sounding pair were the ones bought directly from Sennheiser. (BTW they do sound amazing without running in).
So it's basically roulette if you decide to buy.

Wired Version - Fantastic sound, sadly not for me

I purchased these headphones after plenty of research online. I wanted a pair of headphones with great quality sound but not sounding overly flat (audiophile level).

I did have to return them in the end for a refund, this isn't because they are bad - but read below to find out more.

Pro's

Sound
The sound from these headphones is incredible. They have very clear highs and defined mids with a great bass line which doesn't sound muddy. I have been using Sony MDR-XB950BT's which for comparison are much more 'bass' focussed. The Momentum's are clearer sounding than these, while still having a nice "punch" to the sound. They are also crystal clear when talking on the phone (iOS version connected to an iPhone).

Build Quality
They look and feel fantastic, made from real leather on the headband and also the ear cups. They also have a nice metal band which looks ace. The hinge is metal and I have no doubt these headphones will pass the test of time. The removable wire is very solid when inserted as well.

Box
They come in a lovely box with 2 carrying cases. I would say neither of these are exactly 'hard cases' though. One is a sort of hard case which is sturdy enough but I wouldn't trust it in a backpack full of heavy items. It also comes with a soft carrying pouch.

Con's
This is subjective but for me the biggest issue is that the ear-cups are too small. They put pressure on the bottom of your ear and when you move your jaw they can hurt after a time. This won't be the case for everyone but they are on the smaller size of 'over-ear' headphones I have tried. The real leather pads feel great but they aren't very thick or very deep. Your ear can make contact with the actual hard speaker cover which is a bit uncomfortable.

Great for movies

I wanted a comfortable pair of over-ear headphones specifically for listening to movies, partly to protect the neighbours from excessive noise generated by the more action-oriented films like the Avengers etc, and also to try and avoid the problem of having the keep changing the volume to balance out quiet speech and loud action sequences (something that seems to be an increasing problem with modern movies).
These headphones are perfect. The sound quality is clear, even for the lowest whispered conversations, while providing robust base when needed for the louder moments, again without it being too loud for the ears. They are comfortable, and should be for most people, but I suffer slightly for lacking hair...so I have a little less padding on top, so the head bars are a little less than perfect. Time will tell if this becomes a problem.
I did want the Ivory and brown colour but they had none available so I ordered black and silver...for some reason though, the pair I received were ivory...so don't assume you'll get the colour you order!
Overall, I would highly recommend them at this price.

I love the sound quality of these headphones. Having previously tried a brand that were the golden fleece of audiophile reviews yet godawful to listen to, these are the opposite. They are warm, deep and incredibly comfortable.

There's a 'but' coming. From the word go I was a bit concerned about the intsy-winzy jack and, sure enough, within two months it started malfunctioning. I've got a free replacement set from amazon under warranty but I'm not expecting them to last. I hope I'm proved incorrect but the build quality on the end of the cable is worrying.

UPDATE. The replacement has also now broken at the flimsy jack. And now Sennheiser have removed the option for a refund. What a disgrace. AVOID these headphones at all cost or you will find yourself landed with something that only works for a few weeks.

Good but wrong colour supplied

Amazon seem to be shipping the Ivory headphones even though they are shown as out of stock and only let you select black and silver as the only option. The earpads on these are too small for me so I find then sitting on my ears rather than over, so this impacts the bass level as the seal is not perfect. The wires connecting the ear cups seem to catch the metal headband during use so I have some concerns over durability. The build quality is generally very good as is the sound quality. They do sound better when driven from my Fiio M6 and Btr3 rather than my Galaxy phone or ipad as the output levels seem quite low on the later two. Generally happy but would not have paid full price especially for the Ivory colour which I feel I will only use at home.

This is my second pair of these headphones (the previous ones were lost, so not a replacement due to the first failing). These are the second iteration of the overear wireless. These ones now fold. They are more comfortable, they fold now and are marginally better sounding. The colour isn't great tho. These are not black/silver. They are chocolate brown and pearlescent ivory. Good value at £141 tho. There is no better pair of wired closedback headphones with an inline mic that can be driven easily by any phone.

The Perfect Portable Headphones for All Genres

Quite brilliant. I got these for £100 on a warehouse deal, and they are barely used. With their 18ohm impedance, they are driven perfectly by an average smartphone. Teamed with Lossless Tidal, these sound genuinely excellent, and are now my go-to portable pair. They are also very comfortable, and they isolate very well too (especially important for library use!). They also come with a decent semi-rigid case, which does the job well. I really can't fault them, especially for the heavily-discounted price I paid for them. So happy with these!

I bought these for use with my Kindle Fire, and as I am an old-time fan of sennheiser.
They are fine for use with audiobooks - it is hard to fail. They are also quite good with popular music; but when it come to classical, or music that hasn't been 'compressed', they fail terribly.
My recently bought Shostakovich Piano concertos 1 and 2 (Giltburg and the RLPO) sound like I'm listening with a cardboard box over my head!
Yet, if Ilisten on my partners Shaw se215s, (which I would not consider as suitable for this purpose) the sound is much clearer and has sparkle.

I'd never experienced what is known as soundstage until I purchased this. when listening to momentum 2.0 headphones, it sounds like the music is taking place around you rather than inside your head.
These cans have an impedance rating of 18 ohms, which means they perfectly suit mobile devices.
The Build quality is really beautiful. It has

> Replaceable ear pads
> Visible machine screws for disassembling

The leather covering the plush memory foam are like pillow to your ears. The band is flexible and strong.

Overall these are really good headphones, go for it.

I actually scoured the web for these headphones, but I didn't find a single cheap link. I accidentally stumbled on this page and I don't why, but these headphones were priced at 127 pounds in ivory colour (listed as the silver colour here)! I immediately purchased it.
They sound incredible for the price. Great bass, but even better mids and highs. They look expensive, especially the ivory one.
My first Sennheiser product and I'm happy with this purchase.

Ich weiß echt nicht, was mit Sennheiser los ist. Alles, was ich von ihnen probiere, sagt mir absolut nicht zu. Dabei sahen die Bewertungen und Reviews vielversprechend aus.

Kopfhörer, die ich bisher hatte/habe:

Beyerdynamic DT770 80 Ohm
Audio Technica MSR7
Sony MDR-1A
Audio Technica M40x
AKG K518
Sennheiser HD599
(In ears: Final Audio E2000, Bose Sound Sport, Denon AH160W, Sennheiser CX868i und ein paar no names)

Wodurch sich die Sennheiser - Kopfhörer unterscheiden? Alle sind zurückgegangen. Und alle aus denselben Gründen. Schlechte Bauqualität, miserabler Klang und definitiv zu hoher Preis für das Gebotene.

Klang: Ein einziges Durcheinander. Vor allem ist der Klang sehr aufdringlich, alles ist in your face und das bei einer Abstimmung, die weder neutral, noch basslastig, noch sonst irgendwie tragbar wäre. Detailreich? Nein. Warm? Nein. Analytisch? Nein. Stylisch? Wahrscheinlich, auch wenn sicher so manches Mädel mit diesen Kopfhörern ein paar Haare opfern wird mit diesem Kopfbügel.

Komfort: Hier hab ich nichts zu beanstanden, etwas eng um die Ohren, aber das ist ja bei jedem anders.

Verarbeitung: Grausig. Wer auch immer dachte, bei einem Kopfhörer, der zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs 130 Euro gekostet hat, ein dünnes Kabel mitzugeben, das gezackt ist, rumzickt und vermutlich einen Wert von 50 Cent hat - sorry, nein.
Die Kabel des Kopfhörers, die die Muscheln verbinden, sind freiliegend, was normalerweise kein Problem ist, aber diese Dinger sehen so fragil aus, dass man sich echt fragt, ob hier nicht wo eine Sollbruchstelle ist. Die Kabelsteckstelle ist auf der rechten Seite - etwas ungewöhnlich, aber macht vermutlich Sinn, wenn man bedenkt, dass die meisten Leute Rechtshänder sind und die Kopfhörer für den mobilen Einsatz bestimmt sind.

Zusammengefasst kann ich nur sagen, dass ich sie morgen wieder zurückschicke, und die Entscheidung war sehr schnell gefällt.

Sound ist etwas subjektives, von daher kann sicher wer anderer daran Gefallen finden. Ich würde nur raten, diese Hörer kritisch zu sehen.
