Solid build quality
I’ll keep this review to the point and brief. These headphones are fantastic. I was blown away by the quality you receive for the price. They look fresh with the all white design and rose gold colours on the headband. The build is solid and flexible and is foldable as well.
The sound is very well balanced and has touches of great bass but not too heavy on the ears. Mids are perfect inline as well. They sound amazing and lean on the warm side. I really have zero complaints on the sound and are perfect for many genres! The only thing they would not suit is obviously high level music production etc.
The comfort is fantastic as well, the ear pads are massive and sit tight and snug on the ears . Fantastic for winter lol, but in all seriousness they sit very well and it’s also great for exercise as I find they do not slide off at all without great forces.
Overall I would recommend these headphones greatly or the 4.40bt and it’s basically identical just wireless ! But your choice! These are killer headphones and deserve praise. Also props to Sennheiser for having amazing customer support as they replaced my pair which had a factory fault , and shipped out a new one right away.

Picking up the headphones, the first thing I noticed was how light the headphones were. They feel sleeker and much lighter than most headphones I have used. The headband is slim with very little padding. However, it is coated (and possibly made of) a squishy rubbery material. When worn on the head, it is slightly noticeable, but even for someone who is very sensitive to touch, the feeling of it goes away.
I have a pretty large head, and I had to extend the headphones to their maximum length for them to fit on my ears. In most cases, I would not be worried about the size of these headphones. The ear cups are VERY squishy, giving the feeling of not much pressure being put on your head. The ear cups are also oval shape, meaning your ear fits very snugly inside from all sides. The sides of the ear cup brush against parts of my ear, but they are very soft and are not an irritation at all. All in all, it's not the most comfortable pair of headphones I've worn, but after some getting used to them I'm sure they will be much more comfortable.
I am using a Galaxy S6 Active to play my music. I am using Spotify @ 160kbps OGG (High Quality). I am also using Samsung's "UHQ Upscaler." The first thing I noticed is that the bass is MUCH heavier compared to a neutral pair of headphones. However, you get used to it. It is not overpowering. Vocals also come out much more pronounced than the M50x's. The details in synths for "Downtown" by Majical Cloudz is very pronounced as well. While I would not recommend these headphones for any form of audio work, they are very nice to listen to.
While listening to music, I am unable to hear ambient noise (small desk fan, and my typing). You can hear someone talking directly to you from ~4ft away, but you will not be able to understand them. These headphones are adequate at noise blocking.
Lastly, the in-line remote has 3 functions and works well with my phone. It functions well with Google Assistant and the controls work fine when the phone screen is off. The only slight issue I have is that the remote is very close to the headphone side of the wire, meaning you cannot look directly at it while wearing the headphones. Just for notes, unlike most headphones, the wire comes in on the right side. It is also thinner than the M50x cable with the diameter of roughly a 3.5mm headphone jack on the wider side (it is similar shape, but not size, to linguine pasta).
I would recommend these headphones for anyone who is a fan of music and is looking into some higher end headphones. The build quality is fantastic, and the sound is great for the type of headphones they are. I would not recommend these for professional audio.
The headphones are all plastic, but don't have a flimsy feel at all. They have a solid and well made feel to them. They will fold up too, which is nice if you’re throwing these into a bag. Its matte plastic all around with a metallic grey accent on each side of the headband. The inside of the headband is lined with rubber with only a very minimal amount of padding. These don’t put much weight on the top of your head though, so the padding is enough. Each earcup will rotate and pivot, so its easy to get a good fit. Everything rotates smoothly and there is no creaking in the plastic. These headphones are pretty bulky though, and I am actually able to see them in the corner of my eyes.
The leatherette ear pads have a ton of cushion and are extremely comfortable, but I’m not personally a fan of the narrow oval shape. I have larger ears so these just barely fit over my ears, they actually squish my earlobes. If you have smaller ears, it won’t be an issue, but its something to keep in mind. The cushions are so soft though, so I find them extremely comfortable to wear for hours. The closed back, over the ear design and extra cushioning do a really good job of blocking outside noise and make a very snug fit. Unfortunately, they don’t breath very well and tend to make your ears very warm. I don’t really ever sweat at all, so its not something that bothers me, but keep that in mind. Overall these headphones are very comfortable to wear. There is a good amount of clamping with the headband, but the cushions are so thick and soft that it doesn't put much pressure on your head, they are comfortable to wear over glasses as well. One thing to point out about the cushions is they show the oils from your skin real easily, this might be since there isn’t much texture to them so its just more noticeable than other cushions.
The cable has a flat design and is tangle free. There is an inline 3 button remote to control playback and a mic to make voice calls. The buttons have a nice feel to them and don’t feel cheap. When it comes to using the mic, call quality was excellent. It was indistinguishable to the caller on the other end that I was using a headset and not my phone. The voice comes through loud and clear on both ends, however, since the headphones do a good job of blocking outside noise, its hard to tell if you're speaking at the correct volume or shouting. But this is one of the best mics that I’ve tested
When it comes to the sound quality, Sennheiser did an amazing job with these. The 32 millimeter drivers and closed back design deliver rich dynamic bass while blocking outside noise. There is an emphasis on bass here, but otherwise they are very accurate. Bass is weighted and responsive. If you listen to music with deep bass, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Bass hits hard and is not boomy. The kick drum feels punchy. The bass is not overpowering here, it just has more of an impact. Pop and rock music really shines on these, everything feels more powerful without sacrificing detail in the mids or highs. These sound especially good with movies, action hits harder without drowning out the dialog. The mids have a good amount of presence and vocals are clean. There is also a good amount of detail in the highs, especially for headphones at this price. Highs are brilliant but are not fatiguing, even after long listening sessions. I prefer headphones that are a bit more bright, but that may bother only the pickier listeners. The soundstage is also surprising good, there is a nice wide, and open feel, with a good sense of depth. These can get plenty loud too, with no distortion. With the wide range of music and movies I tested these with, I was really pleased. The slight emphasis they put on the low end seems just right for my taste. It gives everything more impact without getting in the way.
Although they went heavy with the plastic, they have an understated look that I really like. There’s nothing flashy about them, with a focus on good audio. They have a very durable feel and the build quality is stellar. I while I don't love the narrow oval ear cushions, I still find them very comfortable to wear for hours.
