The story of Seiko began in 1881, when a 22 year old entrepreneur, Kintaro Hattori, opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in central Tokyo. Today, after more than 130 years of innovation, Kintaro Hattori’s company is still dedicated to the perfection that the founder always strove to achieve.

Ok so really quick, there are a few comments saying the face is too big.
In my opinion this watch is the perfect size. I have 7 inch wrists which is pretty average I think so you can use the pictures I have attached as a reference.
Once the band gets broken in I will have no complaints, that being said it should be noted that the band is rather stiff upon arrival.
If you're like me, a 21 year old college student on a budget looking for a robust masculine dress watch, look no further.
I've had it about a month and so far,it's working fine. I leave it the window one day a week to keep it fully charged
I have a Seiko for the 1980s that I got with my promotion to Major in the Army that I'm very fond of - it's almost identical to the Cartier Tanker watch, which is my all time favorite. I purchased this as a daily replacement for my old Seiko. While it still keeps perfect time, it can no longer be made water resistant and has taken a bit of a beating over the years. I don't want it to become totally unusable, so I'll only wear it on special occasions when I'm not wearing the Cartier.
I've only had the watch for less than a week, but I'm very happy with the looks, although it is a bit larger than I had expected. The gold highlights on the face detract a bit for me, but that's a personal preference - I like a clean watch face. Still, the overall styling is very nice. For the price, it's a daily wearer and I'm not particularly worried about it. This watch has relegated my Timex to gardening and maintenance duties.
I'll probably be changing the band as I have relatively small wrists and the watch currently sits off centered on my arm. Perhaps when the rather stiff band breaks in this will change. If not, I'll go to a metal band.
The solar recharging is interesting and unobtrusive - I hope it stays that way and continues to work for many years, I'd love to be able to come back in 30 years and say the watch is still going strong. We'll see.
