Product Description

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams’ powerful new novel offers one of the most memorable love triangles in fiction since Twilight—perfect for fans of New Adult fiction like Jamie McGuire, Abbi Glines, and Tamarra Webber.

Futures are uncertain, unpredictable—like ink spilled across the purest surface. Nearly imperceptible ripples move and flow until a unique stain is formed. The ink is permanently imbedded in the surface…

During one wild night in college, Jentry Michaels is a tidal wave of ink that brands Aurora Wilde’s soul. An unparalleled stain she can’t forget despite the many months that have passed—and despite the distraction she’d hoped she would find in her new relationship with Declan, the charmer who captured her heart soon after. Jentry has irrevocably touched her soul, and he is intertwined in her present and future in ways she never fathomed. Now Aurora is faced with keeping that night hidden though it feels as if the ink has indelibly etched their story across her skin.

When Declan is confronted with his own personal demons, Aurora must decide if she will continue to hold tight to their relationship and a safe, reliable future with him, or if she will turn to Jentry—the guy she can’t forget no matter how hard she tries.…

The first half of this book does a lot of time jumping. It begins with Aurora at a party, after deciding she needs to escape and have a night of fun for once. She meets Jentry and the two share one hot night together that has them forming an instant connection. It also leaves them with regrets long after, because despite them both agreeing to one night only, they still can't shake one and other. With no personal details exchanged, they think they'll never see each other again. Until Aurora's current boyfriend, Declan, invites his adopted brother for a weekend beach getaway after he's returned home from deployment. I'll give you one guess who that brother might be. ;)

“Because no matter how much I want this, it is eating at me to even think about it. I told you, it would be entering a fight I can’t win. None of us will win. Not when Declan and I are as close as we are. We may not be blood, but he is my brother.”

This book is instalove at its greatest. And I really didn't care one little bit. Nor did I care about the crazy mother in law. A slightly psychotic secondary character. The judgey best friend. The pushover heroine. The whiplash experienced from the constant time jumps. Or the convenience of certain situations and how things played out. Why? Because Molly McAdams has created pure entertainment of the literary form and has done it perfectly. My eyes couldn't absorb her words fast enough, and what amazing words they are. This book might've been entertaining, but that in no way means there wasn't more to it. There's a depth to this authors characters and fluent writing style that held me captivated. I was completely addicted and couldn't quit this book if I tried and honestly, that thought never once entered my mind.

“Stain me, Jentry; I don’t care.

What I love about Molly McAdams' books is the emotion that they all have. This one definitely pulls on those heart-strings. I'm not a huge fan of love triangles, so to speak, but this one worked. It's not your traditional "triangle" which is why it probably worked.
Aurora meet Jentry one night at a party & he made a lasting impression. As fate would have it, she would see him again when she just so happens to start dating his brother, Declan. The connection with Rory & Declan was never like it was with her & Jentry. Her & Jentry had that insta-connection. Her & Declan was more friends. Their mom was horrible to Rory! I really felt bad for her & wanted to jump in & slap that woman.
As the book progresses, we watch the struggle of Rory as she tries to find the courage to either follow her heart or follow her head. When she finally makes a decision, tragedy strikes, leaving everything hanging in the balance. Who will win Rory's heart? Will the family ever accept Aurora?

I loved this book!! I read it straight through the night and my husband was cross because I finished it at 6 in the morning.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book. It made me both laugh and cry (typical molly mcadams).
I loved the characters, the 2 person POV and the storyline.
All in all it was an excellent book that you won't be able to put down.

I tried so so so so hard to like this book but i just couldn't.
I LOVE a good love triangle but for my own personal taste, it just wasn't gritty enough.
At some stages the book had me so completely confused with the jumping back and forward into different time periods
I hated writing this review but i had to be honest

Molly McAdams books do not disappoint, this is no exception. I got this book early and it took me a month to put into words my review for this book. This book may come across as a love triangle but not like any other Molly McAdams triangle. In this book we have all the emotions and you feel them as if you are the characters. I think this is the best of her books yet, It is well written and romance at it truest and most real life. Jentry and Auroura have one night....they do not know each other's names but the connection they have is so real it stays with them both almost a yr later Auroura /Rori still has flashes and dreams of that night with the man she only knows as Jay. Rori and Declan meet at the same college party when she goes back looking for Jay. She feels a connection and they date. Fast forward and they are done college and moving in together, close to Declan's family. Declan's mother seems nice....up until this time. Linda, Rori's future mother in law will feel real life to many who may know a Monster in Law. During this time as they are settling in and getting jobs, etc Declan says that his brother Jentry is coming home, he is in the service. Once Rori meets Declan's brother Jentry she recognizes the man that has haunted her thoughts and dreams for almost a year. Jentry recognizes her since he has not stopped thinking about her since their one night. He feels undeserving of love. Their story unfolds and things happen, guilt holds people back from their true feelings. Molly McAdams wrote this book brilliantly and it will grab you and hold you till the very end. I definitely wanted to throat punch a few times in this book. Tears were shed but nothing like another book of Molly's. This is a stand alone and I highly recommend grabbing this book and sinking your teeth into it

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Love Triangle 13 November 2016

Do you have a love hate relationship with Molly McAdams? Do you remember reading Taking Chances and the Love Triangle that ended in death?

Well fellow readers Molly McAdams has written another love triangle that keeps you on the edge of you seat. The book was a little hard to follow at first because the chapters jump back and forth in periods of time but after 30% in to the book I was able to keep up and as the chapters move on my heart was racing, my temper had flared, and then the unthinkable happens and my emotions were all over the place.

Aurora (aka Rorie) is a college student that decides to have a one night stand at a Frat party. She meets Jay and they decide that they will get together for one night only! After Jay gives Rorie the one soft/hard night of pleasure she can't stop thinking about him. Rorie returns to the Frat house hoping to bump in to Jay again but instead chokes on a piece of candy and clobbers Declan with her shoe! Well a year later they have graduated, move in together and she is working on integrating herself with Declan's family. Declan's mom is a real piece of work and talks down to Rorie every chance she gets. The stress of trying to please Declan's mom begins to take its toll on Rorie but she continues to make the most of this situation.

Declan's brother is returning home from the military (Jentry) and is about to meet Declan's girl for the first time. And so the triangle begins!

Absolutely love the book and love triangle with twists is worth the frustration! ❤️

I can always pick up a Molly McAdams book and know that I'm going to love it and enjoy every moment. This story like all of her others will not disappoint, it's full of feels, love, steam, and characters that you'll love and hate.

Rorie and Jay are perfect for each other from the begining but life happens and that adds to the large web of love and secrets that is woven. The yearning between these too is over the top and gets you in the gut, the heart and the head. I had chills from all the feels, like you have no idea the FEELS are intense and I'd read it again just to experience that.

This story wasn't only a love story, it was a story about a terrible mother in law to be. Molly can always make you some how attach to her characters but this mother was written in such a whole new way for molly (I think). You'll hate her, she's a monster, and her family somewhat enables her and that drove me nuts. I have to say that when Jay (Jentry) stood up to her, that made him so much more swoon worthy. This mother was crazy, selfish, and mean, and all around she was perfect villain. Molly's talent, I think, showed in this character because she never wavered from who the character truly was like, and it didn't seem forced it came to her easily.

The story does have flash backs to the past and present but never in a way that would confuse you, it's just slowly un wrapping each thing that has happened. And that plays into the way you feel during your read too. Each moment in the book captured my attention and held it, I didn't want to set the book down at all. This book is going onto my "Best of 2016" list. I highly recommend it and I'll definitely find myself re-reading this one.

Molly McAdams knows how to write a book! Sheeew... she always has a unique way to write a story that keeps you captivated... and this one does just that.

This story goes back and forth in time and the story blooms and blossoms from there. You DO need to pay attention, and it allows you to think that you know what will happen, but just like in true Molly fashion, she always surprises you and makes your heart tear just a little.

This book leaves off with the tease of another book... and I can't wait to see if that happens!! Love it!

This story....what can I say...a love triangle but not. It was more that Aurora was stuck. Declan wasn't aware that he was fighting a losing battle. Jentry, OMG, I just fell in love. His words but his constant need to push Rorie away was heartbreaking.

I read this in two days and couldn't put it down, which was hard, as I read it at work. This story just goes to show you that people make an impact on you, no matter if you know them for a day or years.
