Product Description

What happens when a young Florida champion athlete and his high school sweetheart resolve to do whatever it takes to unravel the mysteries of human spiritual transformation? John Wilder and Devi Duran go on a revolutionary journey of change through heart, mind, body, breath and sexuality. Join them as they uncover The Secrets of Wilder - sacred techniques for cultivating deep Inner Silence, Ecstasy and Enlightenment. Their discoveries are destined to change the world, but at what cost?

The Secrets of Wilder novel was written in 2002-03, before the Advanced Yoga Practices (AYP) instructional writings began, serving as an inspiration for that multi-book project. For this, the novel holds a special place in the overall AYP writings. It is the book that started it all.

5.0 out of 5 stars intriguing, inspiring, thought-provoking, and informational. great book! 6 February 2014

It was very difficult for me to unglue myself from this story. Important spiritual insights and lessons are skillfully woven into the story line and illustrated by the experiences of well-developed characters. The characters are engaging, real, honest, raw, and thought-provoking. I have been following in the tradition of Yoga for about two years but I am still relatively new and inexperienced. Yogani's illustration of the spiritual insights throughout the book and via the experiences of John Wilder drove the lessons home for me. I have a deeper understanding of each practice which fuels my desire to know more and to continue to evolve with spirit. This has become by far, one of my favorite books. I recommend it to anyone who wants to further their spiritual practices and read a really good book.

5.0 out of 5 stars This was an amazing story. It thrilled me 20 July 2014

This was an amazing story. It thrilled me, challenged me, gave me insight into the enlightenment process, gave me slight revulsions at times, but never bored me. Having read some of the Yogani books on meditation practices, it put all that information into a story form of a young man seeking enlightenment. Not just enlightenment in the popular sense, but in the actual becoming "one with God" in totality. It is highly recommended for those who are serious about the "God-quest". Those in tight little religious boxes may have a hard time with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring fictional spiritual biography 7 May 2012

The secrets of wilder is a spiritually captivating fictional biography that I think would appeal to younger readers who are beginning their journey of self discovery. The author Yogani has in depth knowledge and self experience in Yoga, Tantra and other spiritual practices and this knowledge helps illuminate from the inside out the story of John Wilders spiritual growth and awakening. I read the book with my girlfriend pieces at a time and it was agony to have to wait between reads. She enjoyed it as well and the book has become a favourite of ours. I hope you enjoy. Peace

I wish he had never written this book. I tried to read it but simply could not make myself finish it, even though I wanted to. This book places in Question for me the entire AYP system. It has turned me off completely to Yogani.
