This is one of the few books, in english, of purple astrology out there. A lot of the beginning of the book deals with feng shui of course. Not purple astrology, per se. But feng shui and purple astrology concepts can mix together to some extent.
His command of the english language can be poor and it doesn't help that he makes mistakes in some of his sentences or omits something and then you only later found out what he meant in a later paragraph that clarifies things.
The format of the book is not well organized either. It almost feels like someone took a bunch of notes about what should be in a feng shui book, and didn't bother to organize them properly. So you get very little context as to what is going on, and it doesn't help that he sometimes switches between later and early heaven methods in feng shui without telling you so. So I guess this means you must know a lot about feng shui already to appreciate the knowledge of this book.
The purple star section of this book is somewhat terse. Not everything is explained well or fully. Casting your chart, for example is an exercise outside of this book, with the exception of explanation of where some stars can be placed. The influence of each star relative to the location in the chart isn't always explained very well all the time (or at all some of the time). Thankfully this section's english is much better than the early portion of the book.
Still, I can't fault him for his poor command of english (his native tongue I suspect is chinese). And it at least appears to be a good effort on his part to get knowledge of this out.
There are some feng shui concepts in the beginning of the book that I suspect are not explained very well in other books that I've read in english. I won't go into them of course, because I couldn't easily understand what he was saying (like for example, why certain feng shui sector numbers when combined together form a certain element).
