A book that I couldn't put down from when I first opened it, Verity has provided an entertaining and enlightening look at how consumers of contracts (which is basically all of us!) can be better equipped developing and managing contracts that are often confusing, messy and long. This book allows consumers, and almost more importantly, law professionals, to be clever and efficient in developing contracts that are more clear and concise. Verity's book is easy to read, and will help you get through all the law jargon through her own spin of principles that are interesting and funny to read. Within the book, the ideal of 'reverse sandwich contracts' is something that we can all utilize in our daily lives.
This excellent book is well written and contains practical and insightful ideas on how to restructure contracts and organise work practices in ways that will save time, and support clarity and understanding. The central premise is brilliantly straightforward and simple, and yet surprisingly is not typically applied in current practice where outdated approaches prevail. The ‘secrets’ are outlined in a clear, direct and informal style, making this an easy to read, thoughtful and exceptionally useful book. Highly recommended!
