Real estate is sold as a much safer investment than the constantly fluctuating stock market. Share price volatility is compared unfavorably with the steadier and impressive gains made from real estate which is, we are told, 'as safe as houses'. This book details the cyclical nature of real estate.

I read this book in 2010. I'm a real estate agent and investor. I borrowed what I learnt from this book and inserted it into a newsletter which I delivered to my farming area in 2010. The point I was making was property runs in cycles and whilst 2010 is a poor point in the cycle in Australia 'would n't it be great to hold say 5 investment properties worth around $500,000 each and watch them surge in value around 2020 to 2026 ' I further wrote, ' if each one went up 20% you would make half a million dollars in a year ' Now I didn't expect anyone would be interested and no one was but 5 years later I started buying again and got my 5 properties in time to watch them all rise by 20% this last year 2021 and still I am buying and still I'm expecting rises in value until 2024 to 2026.
Thank you Phil!

Really excellent book. Read if you want to understand what total BS economists come out with. Phil Anderson should have a Nobel prize for this work.
